Hotel International

As other reviewers have noted, the bedrooms are spacious and well appointed, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is good for business and only a 20 minute walk from the Old Town centre. However the breakfast facilities are too limited when the hotel is at full occupancy - the only negative to a good modern business hotel.

The hotel is obviously renovated and it is very modern. The rooms are very spacious (I had booked a superior double), clean and modern, and especially the bathroom was amazing. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is delicious! The parking is not normally in the room price, but is very spacious and there is a door that leads directly to the reception! The only drawback of the hotel (if it is considered as a drawback) is the location. The hotel is in Zagreb's business district and it is NOT close to the city center and all the main attractions. It is about 20 mins walk (2,5 km away) from Ban Jelacic square (Trg Bana Jelacica) so be prepared to walk! There is a tram stop in the corner, but only one line stops there and it is not very frequent. However, the value for money is amazing and I would definitely visit the hotel again!

We stayed over one night in this hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The hotel reception and bar areas are very pleasant as well. The reception is very helpful. You can walk from the hotel to the city centre (I can reccomend the walk through the city) but there is also a tram stop round the corner from the hotel for the less energetic. The food was average but the bartender managed to reccomend some particularly nice, reasonably priced wines for all to enjoy!

Drawbacks:
- Every member of my family who had a room in this hotel found only one towel in the room and had to call housekeeping to get another?!
- No tea/coffee in the rooms which seems to be the norm in Croatia. However, these hotels are servicing mainly international geusts and, as such, I feel should maintain international standards of service.

I would reccomend this hotel to someone looking to stay in Zagreb as good value for money.

This is a first class establishment and it shows from the smart and attentive front desk staff to the well designed large rooms. A very good restaurant is on the premises offering local as well as international dishes. We found it location to Zagreb an easy 15 minute walk. Numerous bars and pastry shops as well as bank ATM's are within a 4-5 minute walk. There is a very nice local park within a short distance with seating to watch the world go bye. If we were to return to this City the International Hotel would be the hotel of choice.

I stayed there twice because of its smart location – walking distance to city centre (some 15 minutes) and closeness to the station where airport shuttle bus stops. However, the quality of accommodation and service does not correspond to the prices. Rooms are spacious and clean but nothing special. Breakfast is poor and the staff is just snobbish and not very helpful.

The hotel was very modern, clean with comfortable beds and good sized rooms. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. On check-in they presented us with a Walking Tour Map of Zagreb from the hotel to the old town area (1 hour) and beyond the main center (1 1/2 hrs) with numbers and explanations of all the sites. There was a large lobby with comfortable chairs and an open bar area. The dining room was very nice and had a good variety of food available. Customer service is not their priority. The waiters were not helpful or friendly. The service was slow. After we received our main meal we never saw our waiter again. We never did get coffee or dessert as there was no one to order from and we had to go hunting for someone to take our money. There were 5 other people in the dining room at the time and no one to help them. There isn't much around the hotel but if you don't mind not having access to restaurants, stores etc. this would be a great hotel to stay at.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel would have the best view but may be noisy being on a main road...

I stayed several times at this hotel while doing business in Croatia's Capital. Rooms are very nice, good air-condition system and opening windows. Good sized bathrooms with all amenities and comfortable beds.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Public rooms include a modern, large lobby with some seating areas and an open bar.
There is a nice terrace wchich is mainly occuopied by smokers (since the hotel inside is non-smoking area).
Buffet breakfast was always included in our rate and it offers a limited variety of eggs and susages (hot) and some cold sausages, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, Joghurt and fruits and some sweek pastries.

From the hotel it's about 30 minutes walk to the old town areas with touristic sights or 5 minutes taxi drive.

Overall I like the hotel, taking the price into consideration they offer good value for money.
