Since I always check rankings and reviews on TripAdvisor, I was really expecting more from Hotel International in Zagreb. Service is decent for this part of Europe but can improve. Rooms are big enough and housekeeping is ok. Breakfast was not so good. Replenishing of the food was too slow. Hope they are reading these reviews and improve till the next time.

It's a pretty nice hotel. The rooms were pretty big, modern, clean, and yes, nice bath accessories and a tub. I picked it mostly on price and TA ratings. If returning to Zagreb, I would definitely stay here again.

For me, the location was very good, just far away from the tourist area to be quiet and just close enough to get to. As noted before, the 13 tram takes you to Jelacic Square lickety split; and the 5 tram takes you directly to Maksimir Park. There's a little grocery store half a block away that sells tram tickets, drinks, and snacks besides the DM (another store) and the bakery. There aren't many restaurants nearby.

It's a 10-15 minute walk to the tourist sights. It's a long 15-minute walk to the bus station or train station. A taxi to the airport was 150 kn and 15 minutes at an ungodly early hour.

I found the staff to be incredibly nice and very helpful. Breakfast selections were good, I esp. liked the fresh fruit, but it can be crowded as tourist groups often stayed here. The wifi worked very, very well. There's not much of a view from the hotel, but it's Zagreb, there's not much of a great view anywhere. There seems to be a "casino" at the hotel, but I didn't check it out.

I chose to stay at the International on a recent holiday as my company had a corporate rate and as the hotel was close to the car rental agency. Overall it was a good experience, although in hindsight, staying closer to the centre may have been better for us as tourists. The hotel is modern and clean, staff are reasonably friendly. I didn't find the room to be small (but I've stayed in some small rooms particularly in New York!). Breakfast consisted of a reasonable selection of items from hot food and baked goods to cereals.

Breakfasts were quite busy, so staff were slow in cleaning table and replenishing food. We ate in the restaurant one night and found the menu quite boring. Housekeeping staff lacked attention to detail, forgetting to give us new towels one day. Pillows were too soft for my liking, and there were no extra pillows on offer (although housekeeping did find us one), and the bed maybe a little on the hard side.

the hotel is newly renovated: very nice and big rooms with bathroom in bright+friendly colors, mine even with a bath tub.
The room itself is very big with a high quality bed (also applicable for the very good mattress and cushion).

The service at reception and restaurant is very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast is ok but but stunning - while absolultey ok for a regular business breakfast.

I will be happy to come back, also privately.
