Owner description: An eclectic personal art collection that may or may not contain fakes of the old masters.

The museum is full of works of art that are either fake, in miserable condition, or are presumably stolen. I assure you there are no Renoirs or Raphaels here. Google "Topic Mimara" before you visit. For a specialist it's fascinating, but I would not recommend it to a non-art historian!

This museum houses the private collection of Mimara, and comprises thousands of sculptures, objets d'art, and paintings from all over Europe and Asia. It is a stunning display and deserves a good two hours for a visit.

Tired of walking around in 90+ degree heat and visiting museums where the AC is either poor or non-existent? Then this is the place for you! A fabulous collection of art as others have mentioned and well worth a visit just for that reason. However, where this place shines is in the AC department. They crank it up to 11!

I was surprised by how impressive the collection was as the guide books we used did not give it a lot of attention.

A well presented exhibition of glass through the ages. By purchasing a ticket it gives you permission to visit 3 museums. If you love glass it is worth seeing.

In Lower Town, this is a remarkable collection, housed in a wonderful old palace. There is a free audio-guide which you can access via your tablet or phone as you go around the museum, in English. We got a reduction in our entry price as some of the rooms were closed for a special event - we didnt ask, and were really pleased to be offered this! The lady at the ticket office spoke perfect English and is very helpful.
