Big, communist-era hotel renovated and operated as a Western-brand business venue just on the Western edge of the city centre. All fine, although I think the bathroom could do with a little sprucing up. Breakfast buffet vast, good choices. For a Westin, check out was surprisingly involved, NB. the bill will be in local currency, Crowns, not Euros, as per the booking confirmation so have a pocket calculator handy! Not cheap, with extras to pay eg. for loading at the actual front door rather than 100m away, but reasonable value.

We stayed in a room facing street and was a little worried it would be noisy, but no problem. Set back a ways and soundproof. Buffet breakfast at this hotel is awesome. Rooms are well appointed and service was very good. Location is great for walking to restaurants,
bakery, and grocery as well as some of the sites.

You can't go wrong with staying at this property. The rooms are very up to date, clean, comfortable beds, flat screen TV, mini bar refrigerator, thick towels and the room has a bath shower combination. The hotel has a very large health club and a swimming pool associated with it. The swimming pool was very warm like a warm bath. This facility is open to the public and I got the feeling that most people there were Croatians who had a membership. The hotel also has a casino. The breakfast was delicious.

Location is good, rooms are standard 'older Westin' rooms; smallish and a bit outdated but fine. Views were very nice. Surprised that there was only one complimentary water bottle in a double occupancy SPG preferred room. Breakfast was excellent. Be aware, however, that they have a very annoying policy of charging you to pull up to the front door and load or unload your luggage into your car, even of you are not parking overnight! Rented a car at Hertz (just across the street, very convenient), pulled it up to the front door and waited about 10 minutes for the bellman to arrive with the luggage, then we loaded up the car and tried to leave. Couldn't exit the gate, though, until I went back inside and paid; several other people were in the lobby complaining about the same thing, but the front desk staff were unsympathetic, saying that was 'standard policy'.

The house keeping was really bad. The minibar was open before I got there, they accused me of taking a bottle of water. Thank goodness our tour manager spoke to the front desk. Nice looking hotel and great location. Only stayed one night.

Wonderful lobby very large and inviting. Large room geared especially to business people. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Great location in city center near many tourist sights. Receptionist was very helpful in suggesting the great restaurant, Gallo's.
