I was part of a small tour group, had a single room, but it was a spacious corner room on the 11th floor with a great view and large windows on 2 sides. Very comfortable bed(s) and quality linens. The bathroom facilities and shower were very good. Only one little problem - the air conditioning in my room didn't work, and it was very hot when the sun reached my east-facing room, despite the room-darkening curtains, which were gold and didn't darken enough. The staff said they were unable to fix the A/C, and brought up a fan, which made the second night much more bearable. I have wondered how long the A/C has been out of order and whether it was fixed in time for the next guest.

The breakfast buffet encompassed every taste that I can think of - I love the European meat, cheese, yogurt and rolls breakfast. they also had bacon and pancakes, eggs and sausages and potatoes for those who love them. The dinner buffet was also very good, with soups, a fine goulash, several kinds of meats, salads, veggies and pretty desserts. Service was ok but friendly. The manager kindly helped me get to another elevator when hundreds of college or school graduates arrived and filled the lobby (in a well-behaved wide line) to reach the site of their graduation festivities using all the regular elevators. It would have been an hour, otherwise. Very nice desk staff.

Walked to the main square and enjoyed being on my own in the city for a few hours. Would like to return to Zagreb, and would probably stay at the Westin again.

Room Tip: A higher floor gives a beautiful night-time view.

Dear Madame, thank you for staying at the Westin and thank you for sharing your impressions online. I am happy that you in general enjoyed your stay in the hotel and in Zagreb. We are sorry for the inconvenience with the airconditioning. The temperatures has been reaching 37 degrees C the last few days, which is very unusual for Zagreb and especially in combination with the high humidity. We hope to be able to welcome you back to Zagreb and remain with our best regards, Gunnar Sanne

A very nice view from the room, if you are on a higher floor. Checking in takes too many time, and surprised that you as platinum member choosing for the free breakfast instead of the points, sounds strange for the hotel. Maybe you can arrange the work better behind the desk and to serve more customers and do not count your money with two people in front of the desk for example and do not discuss in front of the customers discussing about a recipie with 3 if their are customers waiting.

staff is nice to help you if questions. Rooms are nice, if you have the suite, nice views too.
But they need some makeover also the carpet in the lift area, it looks like mountains........
But sleeping, pffff, you hear everything from outside.

Nice breakfast too, great fitness and swimming area.

My wife and I spent 4 brilliant nights at this fantastic hotel. Before I eulogise about all the good points to this place, let me feedback about one or two flaws; flaws that may have been noted by other travelers however here goes. The check in staff were all very friendly and eager to please however the process itself takes a little too long and if you are tired after a lengthy journey, it can try your patience somewhat. The only other point of note (and this isn't really a complaint more an observation). My room was on the 15th floor and was spotlessly clean and offered panoramic views across the city. If you book this hotel and are allocated a room on the same floor, just be careful when walking in the corridor as the carpet is slightly loose (probably needs to stretched) and is a trip hazard. For those readers who prefer to pick fault with hotels, I am afraid that in terms of this review, you will be disappointed as there are no more complaints from me.

The hotel staff were extremely attentive, spoke English very well and were happy to advise on the best ways of finding ways to visit the many attractions that Zagreb has to offer; very clearly they take their work seriously. The rooms are well equipped, and as mentioned earlier very clean. The shower with two heads is a little tricky to work out (well it is for a simpleton like me) however is very powerful which is a pleasant change from many hotels where a trickle feed of water is the norm. The bed was also really comfortable and the bed linen of a really good quality.

The communal areas of the hotel are nicely set out and there are lots of seating to relax in.The lobby is air conditioned which is a bonus too given that Zagreb does get very warm.

All in all, this was a great break and given that we were there to support the Scottish national football team, who were playing against Croatia, we were made to feel very welcome; the Croat people were brilliant. Certainly we will be extremely pleased to visit Zagreb again and will most definitely stay at the Westin. Thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors the views of the city to the south side are great. There are fou...

Westin Zagreb is located about 10 to 15 minutes walk max from the Zagreb main square which makes it conveniently located. Tram lines run nearby. The lobby is nice and the check in was dealt with efficiently. The room we were given was not large, but the consolation is that it has a city view and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is clean with all the amenities including towels, shampoo and soap. Breakfast was a good spread. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the quality of food is good. Staff were attentive and attended to all our needs. Wifi is free. Highly recommended.

Westin Zagreb, well located, decent size rooms, but needs a make over if by going as per 'Westin' standards, its more a business hotel rather than a stop for tourist.
Staff is good, but a average property cannot be transformed into a wow hotel just bcoz the staff is good.
Overall, good experience, recommended for sure.

Dear Sir, thank you for the response. We are fulfilling all the Westin standards including the Heavenly Beds and Bath. You are correct in that over the year more of our guests are business customer, thanks also to our large and convenient conference facilities. Leisure guests appreciate our location and food and beverage services. Thank you for staying at the Westin and I hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you back. This is exactly what you would expect from Westin. This is a relatively new, well maintained hotel, that has the complete lack of ambiance that you would expect from a business hotel. This hotel was very clean and very uninteresting. But importantly, this hotel is within walking distance of Zagreb's restaurant/pedestrian area.

I stayed in Westin Zagreb Hotel with my collegue on a business trip and we both were disappointed. It is certainly not five star hotel, I would rather say 3 at most.
Interior was old-fashioned, not too clean. The staff was quite disinterested, breakfast average, waitors speaking among themselves about private issues while we were waiting for coffee (10 minutes). The receptionists not smiling at all.
I would not recommend it.
