Owner description: Museum of Broken Relationships is a physical and virtual public space created with the sole purpose of treasuring and sharing your heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions. It is a museum about you, about us, about the ways we love and lose. At its core, the Museum is an ever-growing collection of items, each a memento of a relationship past, accompanied by a personal, yet anonymous story of its contributor. Unlike ‘destructive’ self-help instructions for recovery from grief and loss, the Museum offers the chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creativity - by contributing to its universal collection.

A great small museum set in the old town. Great stories, interesting letters, objects and clothing from all around the world. Small gift shop and coffee shop as well.

Unique and satisfying, this small museum displays trinkets, letters, stuffed animals, wedding dresses and so much more, provided by jilted lovers around the world from long-ago relationships. It is true, the place is small, but it still took a good couple hours to read every single attached commentary for all 100 items on display. The stories are entertaining, sad, funny, romantic, heartfelt and amusing and I'll bet there is at least one that every visitor can relate to.

Inside the museum is a small gift shop as well as a coffee shop to wind down after a whirlwind of emotions. It is located in the Upper Town, and to reach it, one can take the wooden stairs, a funicular or one of the side pathways.

As of December 2014 the entrance fee is 25 Kuna (3.25 Euro / US$4 / 2.5 British Pounds).

This is a place to go if you are in Zagreb... Funny, romantic place where you can see you not the only one in love issues :)

Stories are mostly interesting, but I would keep them short and write them with a larger font to make it more readable.

A different kind of museum. Rather emotional, some stories are disturbing, some romantic, all very human
