Owner description: Museum of Broken Relationships is a physical and virtual public space created with the sole purpose of treasuring and sharing your heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions. It is a museum about you, about us, about the ways we love and lose. At its core, the Museum is an ever-growing collection of items, each a memento of a relationship past, accompanied by a personal, yet anonymous story of its contributor. Unlike ‘destructive’ self-help instructions for recovery from grief and loss, the Museum offers the chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creativity - by contributing to its universal collection.

The museum is not big and you are not going to spend hours in it, but you will have so much fun! Museum of Brokenships is the bright star on Zagreb's museum sky :)

Interesting and emotional but a little depressing. Definitely try the hot choc in the cafe with the lovely lavender biscuits!

This is my fav museum in Zagreb, it's a clever gimmick.
You walk into a whirlwind of emotions, you start laughing, crying and sneering. Each relationship is represented by an object and described by a caption. There are two objects that moved me the most, take a look at the key and the razor.

However, the coffee is what I prefer in all the museum. I've been there twice a week for six months, the atmosphere is intimate, the waiters are friendly (specially the blond guy) and they're predisposed to dialogue, I reccomend you to taste both wines and teas.

A positive feedback goes to the music playlist, it's always interesting!

Some exhibits were amusing, some sad, one was heart-breaking, most were (unsurprisingly) a bit introspective. I felt like I was in the psychoanalyst's seat.

This place is a must visit when in Zagreb. Not only is the concept unique but the execution is great. It's like walking inside a huge novel and walking among characters. As the quote at the entrance reads: 'there is no history, only biography'.

i found my visit very inspirational. There are stories which make you laugh, give you a feel about the history of the Balkans, or just remind you of how fragile we all are.
