My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at Camera Felice.
-Room- We stayed in the green room (with the balcony) that we highly recommend. The room is modern, spacious and cheerful, with bright colour accents throughout. It was well maintained, with a fridge and kettle in the room. The bathroom was meticulously clean. We loved sitting on the balcony to watch the passersby and enjoy the view.
-Beds - The linens and mattresses were extremely comfortable.
-Lack of street noise - It was remarkable how quiet the room was given the location in close proximity to the street. I noticed that past reviewers had issues with noise before, but the double pane windows and black out curtains seemed to do the trick for us.
-Price - Considering what we paid for accommodation (mostly apartments with full kitchens) elsewhere in Croatia, the room was quite pricey at 60E. We had a studio apartment in the Old Town of Dubrovnik with a full kitchen for only 50E. Perhaps this is the rate in Zagreb.
-Location - Contrary to the estimated 10 min walk described by the owner, it really takes 20-25min of walking at a brisk pace. However, as mentioned by other reviewers, the tram is convenient to take into town and the stop is about 5 min away.
All in all, it was a very comfortable stay and I do recommmend Camera Felice. If I were to stay again, I might consider a place closer in location to the old town, but the choices are somewhat limited in Zagreb.
