Description: "Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.

The restaurant is in the very center of Zagreb and the chefs ‍ work is unbelievable !
Our weightier was a Nick Cave lookalike and was super friendly!

Got recommendation to try Agava by Lobagola B&B and Lobagola MotoTours where I stayed in Zagreb.

What can I say than it was in total just stunning experience. Great food, service was excellent (for Croatian standards that mean really excellent), meals were tasty (tried only meat dishes), fresh, as well as side dishes.
Loved the location, it's in Takalcica street where all the bars and coffee bars are but a bit hidden away on the small hill.
View on the street was very nice, overall great experience, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Our dinner at Agava couldn't have been better. Especially our waiter gave us an outstanding service. The 4 course menu was amazing and prepared in a fresh and creative style. Also the wine recommendation couldn't have been better. One of our best dinners we had so far in Europe as our waiter made this evening a truly highlight. A top place we hope to come back again.

A more traditional restaurant with the ambience of the old world. Decor is like an old European establishment at the turn of the century.
Don't let that fool you as this is an excellent Michelin multiple star restaurant. The staff are professional and know there craft. They explained the food options suggested drinks and asked questions in English.
Food and beer/wine was excellent and matched the food choices we had made. The window seat was a plus as we could see the life in this area of shops and other restaurants passing by.
We were just walking passed at 6pm saw it and were lucky enough to get a seat. Our tour guide Kristina for the City walk had suggested it to us. It is very popular and in summer bookings are difficult. So a real treat for us to get a seat and be able to experience this excellent place.
Winter is always easier to travel as you don't have the crowd crushes and we would not have had this opportunity.

A perfect introduction to Croatian hospitality. The food was lovely, venue was comfortable and the waiter was outstanding, he was humerous and knowledgable.

The only thing to make it even better would be to clean up the toilets which were in a total contrast to the rest of the place.
