Description: "Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.

We used the recommendations of Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The breads were fantastic (but then again almost all restaurants in Croatia have great bread), the Dalmatian specialties were unique and tasteful (beef steak ragout and warm octopus salad) and the polenta with shrimp the best on the trip. What makes the restaurant is the service staff (Dravko had our table) and the owner (Predrag); they did not steer us wrong. As a treat at the end of the meal we shared grappa reportedly made by the owner's mother (now that is an acquired taste) and we all agreed (after we left) that the plum brandy was better. Enjoy.

This chic and casual (somehow it pulls off both) restaurant in the heart of Zagreb offers absolutely great dishes for a great price. I had the tuna fillet: it was huge and delicious! My friend had the Dalmatian steak and it was delicious as well. The foccaccia bread is outstanding. A great find!

Probably best place for dinner in Zagreb. I really enjoyed service (excellent) and food. Great medium rare steak, great vine. Good selection of domestic dishes. Croatian hospitality at it best.
