Description: The restaurant has a total of 180 seats, as well as two separate halls. The bigger one, called "Bakarena" ("Copper") because of its interesting mix of copper and wooden elements, provides 40 seats and is suitable for business meetings. The second one, "Onyx", is a VIP hall with 12 seats, with a very elegant interior thanks to the elements of the semi-precious onyx stones. The beautifully landscaped botanical garden, turned into a true oasis in the center of Sofia, provides 120 seats, 70 of which are located in the glazed and heated part of the garden, welcoming guests for ten months every year. The lovely plants, the murmur of the brook and the natural pond with swimming fish and ducks, will surely bring the guests of the restaurant into a peaceful and enchanting atmosphere away from the city noise. Additionally, Captain Cook restaurant has developed a special Loyal Customer Program with club cards for its regular clients.

it was really average. the outdoor seating is in the same tent as the smokers, and it is hard to eat with smoke wafting over. Our table was in the pathway of the waiters going to a huge dinner party at the back of the tent so it felt very vulnerable for what could have been a romantic evening. The food I can't even recall, unfortunately. Plus, it was real pricey, so not even, ah well never mind. I did.

One of the classiest restaurants in Sofia. The name suggests strictly seafood, but nowadays they are also serving Black Angus and Waguy beef. We had the sea brim and sea bass dishes from the chef’s choice list, a mix of grilled sea food, the Greek style aubergine and for desert cheese cake and chocolate soufflé and they were all really good.

The service is supreme and ambiance is nice – especially in the garden where we were seated. Pricing is high for Bulgaria standards, but is relevant to the value you are getting and is reasonable for Western European standards (all of the above plus big bottle of water and 2 beers for about 45 eur).

The only cons I reckon: first the menu is a bit poor in my opinion - I expect more diversity and sophistication in the menu for this type of restaurant; second the portions are a bit small for my taste. Still this is certainly one of the best places to dine with seafood in Sofia.
