The bigger one, called "Bakarena" ("Copper") because of its interesting mix of copper and wooden elements, provides 40 seats and is suitable for business meetings. The second one, "Onyx", is a VIP hall with 12 seats, with a very elegant interior thanks to the elements of the semi-precious onyx stones. The beautifully landscaped botanical garden, turned into a true oasis in the center of Sofia, provides 120 seats, 70 of which are located in the glazed and heated part of the garden, welcoming guests for ten months every year. The lovely plants, the murmur of the brook and the natural pond with swimming fish and ducks, will surely bring the guests of the restaurant into a peaceful and enchanting atmosphere away from the city noise. Additionally, Captain Cook restaurant has developed a special Loyal Customer Program with club cards for its regular clients.

“The best fish restaurant in Sofia!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

These guys are really professional! After Happy Fast Food Chain, now and for the last maybe 2 or 3 years, they show their knowledge of the restaurant industry in this nice fish restaurant! Fantastic quality of the food and the service! And it was consistently good during all our (not very frequent) visits. We visited the place together with our kids, and they loved what they got for dinner.
The choice of fresh fish was impressive and the wine list is not bad either.
But... it is on the expensive side (for BG) of things....

“Good sushi ans seafood”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

When they closed SASA, I started visiting Captain Cook as the only substitute. The place belongs to the same owner as SASA and the mass fast food chain Happy. The sushi is very good, the seafood is fantastic. One of the places where you can have very well cooked lobster. On Friday and Saturday they have evenings with a theme. Usually 2 or 3 musicians and a singer add value to the ambiance under the same theme. Fantastic fish tanks with colorful fish, ship miniatures, all these details, together with the good service makes you feel you are in a special place. There is one very bad thing thought- they allow smoking in the late hours which is illegal and for me absolutely unacceptable, more over it is a high end restaurant with expensive service. I hope they will understand that it is not in their favor.

“Absolutely brilliant”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

This would have to be the most obscurely located fish and seafood restaurant I have visited, but what an amazing experience.

The quality of the food, the amazing service and staff that know their seafood, and suggest the accompanyments, this was truly one of the best restaurantr experiences I have had the pleasure of going to.

My colleague and I loved it so much we went back, and he is not a person who likes seafood, so this is saying something.

“Smoking Allowed”
Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

Food and service was good, however would not return due to the managements apparent disregard for the smoking law. This restaurant seems to think it is above the law and let's customers smoke within their facility. Pass!
