“Fantastic Hotel”
Reviewed November 25, 2009

Stayed for 4 nights at Les Fleurs after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Boutique hotel with huge attention to detail and some lovely touches. Hotel is on the main shopping street right in the middle of Sofia, so is a superb location for all the sights. The street is pedestrianised apart from trams so the hotel was quiet (although we were on the 6th floor). Staff all spoke english and were friendly. Although you can certainly stay in cheeper hotels in Sofia, we're so pleased we stayed here.

The other reviews were correct. This is just such a wonderful hotel. It is not that big, I think there are 31 rooms. Each room is supposed to be different. Our room looked wonderful; we loved the comfortable big bed, great bathroom and shower (biggest and most comfortable I have seen in a hotel, I want one like this at home). Also, the TV with DVD player, the lights, the electric blackout curtains, it just all fit. The hotel is located in the modern centre, on a main shopping/restaurant street, and very close to the historic old city. The breakfast was good too, although it could have been a bit more elaborate (it was possible to order additional items such as omelets etc.) The staff is also great. All in all, we felt like kings here.

All of the rooms in the hotel are decorated along a flower theme with lovely mosaics and amazing flower arrangements in the halls. The rooms are small but well appointed and the shower was wonderful. The hotel is on Sofia's main shopping street and all of the main sights are within 5 - 15 minutes walk away. The restaurant was excellent and all of the staff were very helpful with a good standard of English. Breakfast is a cold buffet with the option of buying bacon, eggs, sausages etc off a menu. There is even a bar with outside seating so you can watch the world go buy. Excellent!

Les Fleurs is a city centre boutique hotel in easy walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. The rooms are small but very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished. Everything is good quality and spotlessly clean and the bathrooms are particularly high spec. Staff were all good english speakers and very attentive. Breakfasts were excellent, particularly the hot food which was prepared to order and so freshly cooked. In summary, hard to fault and highly recommended.

We decided to spend a weekend in Sofia to see what it was like, found this hotel on TripAdvisor and saw that they had a special spring deal so decided to take advantage of it. The room (one of their "luxury" rooms) was wonderfully decorated with lots of attention to detail. The very large, freestanding bathtub was strewn with rose petals and the deal we got also included amazing chocolate lava cakes delivered to our room. Add in the complementary breakfast (cooked to order omelets, wonderful croissants, cappuccino) in the morning in their comfortably elegant restaurant and we were very happy. The hotel is very well located and all of the staff couldn't be more helpful (they even had someone walk us to the restaurant where we had dinner reservations because we were having trouble finding it.) We would go definitely go back for one of their special deals again - a real bargain.

As someone who travels frequently to central and eastern Europe I was looking forward to my stay at what promised to be a genuine boutique hotel. Although I had a pleasant stay at the Arena di Serdica a year earlier, I chose Les Fleurs for its central location.
The car transfer from the airport to the hotel was punctual and comfortable. The check-in process was rather slow, but at least I was offered help with the luggage and I was also given a quick tour of the room's facilities. The decor in the public areas as well as the bedrooms is fun, if a bit over the top, and the ideas for some features (bubble mobiles on either side of the bed, the half circular shower door) seemed to have come straight out of the design handbook for the 'space age'. Unfortunately neither functionality nor the comfort of the guests seem to have played a big role in the architect/designer's considerations, and the room itself was disappointingly small, with the bed taking up most of the floorspace and no room for any luggage. The bathroom was spacious, but I'd rather have one that's 100% clean and that didn't flood when taking a shower.
Breakfast was, well, weird, with the tiniest buffet I have seen in any hotel ever. Only after I'd sat down with my croissant (which seemed to be the 'safest' choice) did a waitress come and offer coffee and juice, and then only after I had received those did she bring a breakfast menu. Nice, though it would have been nicer to know beforehand. The atmosphere in the breakfast room is dungeon-like, not a place you'd like to be for much longer than ten minutes or so.
Check-out (at 6am) was even slower than check-in, quite painful actually. While waiting for my bill I noticed one of the staff sleeping in the bar area.
Sadly, Les Fleurs belongs to that kind of hotel that use 'boutique' as a mere label for over-designed, over-priced but under-delivering accommodation.

Nice modern designed hotel in the centre of Sofia, each room has special design which is very nice and fashionable but at the end not very practical (dust is visible on the shiny sufaces etc.). Breakfasts were fine, you can get even some specialities like english or american breakfast. For a dinner is restaurant little bit more expensive (in comparition with normal Sofian restaurants) but still ok. My stay was quite ok, the only shadow was additional services from the hotel - taxi. I used them only once for transporton in the city and then I found out that they are 10times more expensive than normal city taxi - yes hotel taxi costed 10 euros, city taxi 2 leva (arround 1 euro).
