Iconostasis very nice, tho not as nice as Rila monastery; in center 0f Sofia and usually easy to reach (demonstrations on our visit day slowed us down).

“Amazing interior to compliment the impressive exterior”
Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

The interior of this cathedral is impressive with the large chandeliers, the mosaics and vaulted ceiling. Would be an incredible experience to witness a service here.

The crypt below was more of an art gallery than what you would expect of the idea of a crypt. Didn't even have much of a subterranean feel to it. Visit for the art appreciation only.

“Delight the senses”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Try to visit when the choir is singing - a truly amazing sound. The shape of the building resonates with the basso profundo section of the choir making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
