This is a fine hotel but there are a few disadvantages. The first thing is that it can be quite warm and like most Bulgarian Hotels everything/everyone only works half which includes the airco (it zzzzzoooooms more than it cools). The windows can not be opened which can cause some claustrofobic behavior. The second drawback is that the location is not particulary thrilling. It is located in an office area next to Tsarigradsko Chausse which is one of the busiest roads in Sofia. If you want some fun go to the center (cheap & good =Aladin hotel for example) so you can avoid the famous cheating Bulgarian taxidrives (There are also good taxidrivers though). Take genuine "OK-taxi". A trip to the center should not cost more than 10-12 Leva.
The good news is that there are NO cockroaches! There are many "Cockroach-Inn's" (Pliska) in Bulgaria but this hotel is quite clean (for Bulgarian standards that is). And they have breakfast in the morning. And it is very close to the airport. The hotel has a shuttle service. Do not expect any smiling people. In the communistic time it was forbidden to smile and unfortunately it takes ages before the people change back to normal.
The have WiFi which actually works. (Of course all Bulgarian hotels have WiFi but usually it only works in the brochure)
Conclusion: Pretty good for the price!
