My husband and I are live in Turkey, and we are pretty used to being a bit smug when it comes to good food. This place was so good we couldn't believe it. The atmosphere and the service were great, and the place was recommended to us by someone we asked directions from, so we just lucked out. The prices were phenomenal for this food. The portions were very generous, and we ended up sharing because we could only order so many things. Thankfully, there were five of us so we got a great sampling. Like Turkish food, several of the dishes were notable for high quality ingredients cooked simply and presented well. In particular, there was a potato, tomato and white cheese dish cooked in a hot oven that was over the top. We also got some braised lamb meat and vegetables that was some of the best lamb we had eaten, Turkey notwithstanding. In contrast, there was a chicken and mushroom dish served in a cream sauce that we almost fought over. We started with a nice mixed appetizer platter that was just enough for the five of us without wrecking our appetites. If you love to eat, please, please try this lovely restaurant while in Sofia. In fact, make sure to go to Sofia just so you can eat here.
