“A little tip about finding the gem”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

First I would like to write a small tip for the people new to Sofia (as we are) about finding this place so it could appear at the beginning of the message, and then I will join all the excellent reviews below!
So, if you go by taxi from downtown of Sofia there is one very important part in the address that you'd better mention together with the name of the street and house number - Bistritsa! It is actually another locality, so if you don't say "Bistritsa" to the taxi driver then it is very likely that he drops you in the Stefan Stambolov str. in Sofia. And believe me this is not the place where you'd want to be.... Our taxi driver drove us through some area that looked like a gypsy quarter with a street market, people sleeping on the very dirty streets and beggars all around... And all this was just a couple of quarters away from the TSUM and Sheraton hotel!
So, we realised that restaurant with so many excellent reviews just can't be situated in such kind of place, called to the property and put the driver on a phone to get the right directions.
And I can say that our effort was rewarded! The food was really delicious, the portions big, the atmosphere very relaxing. And the service was at the highest level! We are very likely to be back again!

“Not a fancy but tasty”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

The service is excellent, but the price seems a little higher then expected but this is compensated by the taste of the food.

“A place to return again and again!”
Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

A culinary gem for people with taste, the distance from downtown is only a plus. Being somewhat 1000 m above sea level gives you a lung-full of crispy fresh air accentuating the gourmet food. Extremely friendly staff, willing to provide any sensible modification to the meal. We LOVE the place and will be looking forward to share it with close ones. Andrey and Stilyana

“Best place for fine taste lovers.”
Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

Excellent food on good price. Excellent service.
Comfortable area.
Nice wine selection.
If you are in Sofia is got to taste it even this long distance from the down town. Diner 20-40 eur/ea person with wine.

“Great Food, Great Service, Great Ambience, Great People”

I have eaten at Sage over 10 times. Each meal has been wonderful. The menu choices have something for everyone and the staff is willing to make special orders. It surely must be one of best, if not the best restaurant in Sofia.
