I booked my place on the tour the night before. Contacted the customer services of Traventuria first because I know that some tour services will cancel if there aren't enough people, but was reassured that the tour would take place as long as 1 person had signed up.

Our tour was lead by the lovely Martin who was super knowledgeable about the sites we visited as well as surrounding areas. A sound guy with a great sense of humour. Thanks Martin!

The alfrescos at both Boyana and Rila Monastery are beautiful masterpieces and well worth the visit in my opinion. So much history within both these places and I'm glad I was able to see them on this visit.

Just a bit sad that the monastery bakery that sells Mekitsa was closed when we visited.

All in all, a fantastic day!

Dear customer,

Thank you for reviewing our service and talking about your interaction with our team! There is a lot of work from our team, that stays in the office, behind every tour. I am glad that you mentioned their efforts! We hope to welcome you again!

Kind regards,

Plowdiw is a really beautiful city with lots if interesting things to see. Our guide was well informed and very friendly and showed us the most important sites. But..if you plan a one in a life day trip to Plowdiw I can not recommend this tour. We definitely had too little time on our own after the tour was finished. Only time to grab a quick lunch and then hurry to the meeting place to catch the bus back so we could be in Sofia at 17:00h. I was very disappointed due to this as there would have been a lot more to see but we did not have the time to really enjoy the city. If I book a day tour I would expect to have more time and not already be back at 17:00 h.

We booked last minute for this trip and were exceedingly happy that we went. The bus was comfy and the guide excellent. She was really informative and the delivery was with a sensitive but cheeky sense of humour that we really enjoyed. Obviously we were lucky with the weather but the autumnal colours of the trees were spectacular. Lunch at the monastery was a bit hit and miss but you could take your own. Overall I’d thoroughly recommend this trip and the company as the seem quite organised and environmentally aware.
