If you are for short visit of Saraevo, I would recommend it. For the price that you will pay, expect same value. Clean and old rooms without air-condition, simple and average breakfast, lovely and smiley personel, own parking. 5-10 walking minutes from center. Placed in quiet area.

This is one of the shabbiest hotels I have ever visited. It is a concoction of furniture, beddings, bathroom amenities and carpets stripped from abandoned old hotels around Sarajevo. It is a new hotel but everything inside is from 70-ies. Somebody probably fooled himself it would be a nice designer trick, but he/she was terribly wrong. The furniture is shabby, the bathroom looks very old and dirty beyond any possibility for improvement. The carpet and the walls are covered in stains and mosquito kills. The hotel has a very bad location. Due to strange geography, the actual city "center" is located at the eastern periphery, so yes, this hotel is in a walking distance from the most interesting places in Sarajevo. But only after crossing a highway at the exit of a dark tunnel. I was terrified at night from being squashed like a hedgehog. The staff is polite but not very skillful so it took them a whole evening to get the wireless internet to operate.

I could go on and on, but I think you've got the picture: avoid it at all cost. There are so many nicer and even better located hotels in Sarajevo which I looked at with sadness thinking where I was staying.

We stayed at this hotel. It is located at the center of Sarajevo. The room was a single room - too narrow with one bed and a bathroom only. No TV and air conditioner. The room was a little dusty, but clean. The food at the morning was FANTASTIC - you have to try it. I live near Bosnia and Herzegovina and this kind of food I usually have all the time but this was fantastic...

Room Tip: The hotel is situated on a hill and there is not much to see. The most expensive rooms are with wind...

We stayed in hotel for two nights. When we got room we found that there is no window inside and were quite surprised with this. Also there was no TV and no mini-bar. . Other than that room was prety normal and clean. Service was also good, breakfast had prety good choice of everything.
Hotel's best quality is location. It is only 5 minute from "Baščaršija" so you don't need to drive.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with windows

Aside from the Bosnian Idol contestants making lots of noise for one night, it was a very pleasant stay, very nice rooms and a beautiful view over the city.

This is quite a comfortable hotel although in need of modernisation - in particular there were no electric sockets outside the bathroom available for guest use outside the bathroom, and low water pressure meant not much more than a trickle coming out of the shower.

Sarajevo was still having cold weather when I stayed here and the rooms turned very cold in the evening - since the heating wouldn't or couldn't come on (I don't know if the hotel is in charge of turning it on here or not) the warmest place to be was in bed. Luckil the beds and sofa were extremely comfortable - easily the best thing about staying here.

Rooms on the riverside side of the hotel do have an amazing view across the rest of Sarajevo - although the price of the view is a steep 5-10 minute walk on uphill roads with thin pavements or no pavements at all. You'll need a taxi to bring your luggage up and probably also if you're coming back to the hotel after dark. Not sure I'd stay here again, purely because of the difficult pedestrian access (it's not a hotel for popping in and out of throughout the day), but a lot of international organisations and NGOs seem to have been having conferences here so they must be getting something out of it!

not too far from the old city (just 5 minutes walking). The people - really friendly, or I could say very very friendly. The ladies from the reception could give us all the info that we need, and allways you can see a real smile on their face. We were new in the city, we didn't know the city and what to expect from Sarajevo and Bosnia. We had in our minds just some thought about war and what was there more the 10 years ago, but when I saw those women there, I had a kind of respect for them and for sarajevo. The rooms are big and the bathroom has also a lot of space. Is clean and the breakfast is for 9.5 (I could not say 10 but I think it's enough). We didn't stay in the hotel only in the evening, but I'll give 4.75 from 5 for Saraj hotel and I can say to anyone who wants to go there, to choose Saraj.
