“Worth putting your nose into”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

A small collection of photos and items associated with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie in 1914. Unfortunately, there's no contextual information to help visitors understand what motivated the Black Hand gang and what life was like for ordinary citizens at the time. A missed opportunity.

“Where the modern world started?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Sadly, Sarajevo is indelibly associated with war. This Museum stands at the corner where Franz Ferdinand and his wife were shot, and that event was the spark that started WW1. Anyone interested in history or who appreciates the importance of the event, should come to this street corner. The Museum itself is moderately interesting with a few period artifacts and one of the guns from that fateful day.

“Its not the museum but the Latin Bridge”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

Small 'museum' showcasing the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Includes journals, photos and a short video clip dramatising the event ( probably from some movie). Nothing spectacular but its a must for history buffs. Its also across the street fopr Sarajevo navigator where you can book interesting day tours

“Where history was written”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

Muzej Sarajevo is not the focus point. Latin bridge, just in front of muzej is where history was written. As early as from our school years we learnt that World War I burst just right there. Actually, it is just a small pedestrian stone bridge. But, it comprises one of the most imporant moments of world history.

“Dissapointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2012

Is not really a museum but a single room with a few showcases. Only worth it if you really like WWI.
It shows journals and some photos of those years. The most interesting thing is the gun used in the murder of Franz Ferdinand.
