“Natural getaway”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012

It was a nice getaway. Good vegetarian food. Clean bathrooms and nice playground for the kids.
Of course it's outdoors so there are lots of flies and the odd dog or cat if it bothers you. The only downside is the drive 40 dicy minutes up the mountain from the town center.

“Beautiful nature”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

Getting there is not easy, narrow windy road towards Faletici and Hresa is demanding one and then once you have to get off of it it gets extremely narrow - two cars can pass by only on a few spots. We were lucky that no-one was coming down on our way up (and vice versa when we were going back). Asphalt stops maybe 1 km before the Eco Futura, so the car will get dusty and will require car wash afterwards. Eco Futura is high above sarajevo city and therefore during extremely hot summer days of July and August 2012 it provides good 10 degres C less (still, however, being 30). Nature around it is beautiful, woods, planes, meadows. For those who are eager to increase adrenalin level there is adrenalin walk between trees, if you are over 12 and with safety gear. For smaller children there is great playground (a mixture of kids aged between 4 and 8 were kept busy for more than hour withou saying a word), however parents should take good care as fence on some of items of playground is not high enough even for a child aged 4. There is also a place for basketball and sand volleyball. There are three main buildings. One is restaurantand two others presumably contain rooms to stay overnight. All is made of natural
material in a relatively rude way (exception is roof of the restaurant made of metal sheets).
Interior of restaurant is great, with a lot of space and corner just for kids. Outside you sit on a hay pressed into seating cubes with a pillows to make it softer, but even this area is protected against the sun with kind of a canvas, on a hot and sunny day it is advisable to go inside or take a walk into the woods. Prices of food and drinks are reasonable, but orders were mixed up several times (we were group of 13). Juices are natural and it can easily happen that they run out of what you want (apple, pear, grapefruit, plim juices), ginger drink (very rare to find anything of ginger in Sarajevo), unusualy strong coffee in a cups larger than what is ordinary in Sarajevo. Food is strictly vegeterian, but not brilliant. If you are hungry - and after a walk into the woods you will be for sure - you will eat everything served on a plate, but will have no memory of it after a minute. Still, price wise it is good (most expensive would be recommendation of a day valued at 8 BAM (4 EUR). I believe only cash is accepted. Restaurant has free WiFi and pool table and I am sure during the night it is a lovely place to be with fire place and eventually some music. There is a piano, of you know how to play, they will let you. You can get beer there (Staropramen, which is good but it was not cold enough) and also wine by glass. As it was hot day, I did not switch from beer to wine. It is enjoyable to go there and also I thing staying overnight is a good option, however getting there would make me think twice for the next visit.

Beautiful place with great food and home made juices. Great atmosphere and really good service.
Rooms are simple with fresh air and comfort temperatures indoor because of natural walls and beautiful nature.
Surely don't miss this place when comming to Sarajevo or even close!
People working there are even at your service for everything you need about Sarajevo and region.

“Overnight or just spend some time here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012

Eco futura is outside of Sarajevo and the narrow winding road up to Eco futura can seem perilous, at least if you have an SUV. They have a shuttle service (call and ask) from Sarajevo, and I recommend it. Eco futura is at a higher altitude with nothing but fresh air and farms around. Buildings and outdoor play area are all natural materials -- even the paint is natural. This would be a nice place to bring the kids and let them play in the fresh air. Meals are vegetarian and the fare depends on what is fresh, in season, and locally available. We didn't stay overnight but I peeked in at the accomodations and would like to come back here and chill out. The rope-climbing area might be completed by now!

“interesting find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

after a drive near Faletici we decided to follow a road sign to Ecofutura. it took us a while to get there due to the winding roads, but the signs made it easy to find the place. the first thing that hits you hits you is the fresh air, amazing! as it was already getting dark we walked around, trie dthe swings, saw the wooden floor set for basketball, the small soccer field and sand for the volleyball. the adrenaline park looks dangerous, our daughter wanted to try it but your have to be at least 12 to get on, with safety gear and all. i have to try that one day! the main building is composed of the reception desk and the restaurant, plus a sittign area and a children's playroom. the guy aske dus if we were here for the first time and shortly explained to us the background of the place, activities and services. it certainly looks like a nice place to have a seminar. it was cute to see that the walls were from stack of hay with clay, and that lots of natural materials were used. we wanted a snack and they proposed to make us a platter for 4 persons with most of the things they cater. the place serves vegetarian food only. everything we tried was nice, and the red wine was great. as active meateaters we missed having some red meat with all that:). for all the food and drinks plus dessert the bill came up to only 25eur. Overall a good concept! i hope to come back to try the adrenaline park (and that until then they will figure a way to get rid of the very annoying flies:)))
