My family and I traveled through the Balkans and these tours were by far the highlight of our trip. Learning about Bosnian history with Sarajevo Funky tours made our time in Sarajevo more meaningful. They were attentive, punctual, and very informative.
Definitely recommend them!!!

Arranged entirely via email, months in advance. Slender was always prompt & efficient with replies, reassuring & instilled confidence in our group ( 1st time in the Balkans). Driver, Dado, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, safe driver, and provided a wealth of information. Both agency, and Dado, excellent ambassadors for BHI.

There is only one reason I would recommend using Sarajevo Funky Tours:

Skender - we took the Siege tour in Sarajevo - this involved a drive through the city, visiting the tunnel site, a walk through the mountains occupied by the Serbs
during the siege and a quick walk down the bobsleigh track. The whole trip lasted about 6 hours and only cost 70€. Considering there were only two of us that isn't even 6€/hr. We also took a day trip to Mostar, Blagaj, Počitelj and the Kravice waterfalls - this was a bespoke tour lasting a total of 12 hours for 200€, which, as calculated before only comes to about 8€/hr.

His enthusiasm for the city and the country in its entirety, its history and its stories was enchanting. He is wonderfully knowledgeable about the past, present and future of all that encompasses the Balkans. His English is amazing, his humour infectious and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

You made us fall in love with your city and your country and we're more grateful for this than you can ever imagine!

We will never forget Bosnia & Herzegovina

Contacted the company based on all the wonderful reviews from TA. Skender promptly replied via email and helped tailor our one way trip from Sarajevo to Kotor with multiple stops in BiH, including Mostar. We also arranged to be picked up from the airport the day before and visit the tunnel. Faruk was our guide, and he was just a delight to be with. Informative, fun, and full of energy. Never felt like this was just work for him, or another tour. Even after a full day of driving he was still doing his best to give us info and keep us entertained. The tour is a little pricey, but a good value considering the number of sites visited and the distance travelled. I am usually an independent traveller, but would have been unable to do this by bus in one day. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved everything about Funky tours. From the minute we started writing to plan the trip we knew it would be fabulous. Skender helped make sure that our tour was customized to what we wanted to see.

Skender picked us up at the airport when we arrived and provided us some background on the city as he took us to our hotel. He was very friendly and made sure he answered any questions we had before leaving us at our hotel.

The next day Skender had us booked for the city walking tour. We do not remember the name of the guide but he was excellent. He knew all the facts on Sarajevo. We were with a nice couple on the tour and he was willing to stop at a cafe along the way when we said we needed a rest break.

The next day is when we started our two day tour with Faruk. He was an awesome tour guide. He was so fun, knew all the history of what we saw and pretty much could naivgate anywhere in Bosnia. He made sure we got our vegetarian food, had great music to listen to in the car and that we got to visit the Olympic museum, Bob Sleds and an added bonus of the Olympic ski slopes. Also, he even was our photographer capturing every shot along the way.

On the second day, I ended up getting really sick on the tour and Faruk was willing to do anything to help me. He even offered to help find a doctor if needed later in our trip in Dubrovnik.

After our two days we thought the tour would end there. However, both Skender and Faruk checked in over the next couple days to see how I was doing and if we needed anything. We know we will be life long friends with Faruk.

Do not hesitate to book a tour with them. You will not be sorry. Worth every penny!
