“Not so good....”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

I stayed at the Hotel Art for Business. First of all its location is buried in the center of old town with very little info on how to get to it. It behind the Europe Hotel. My room was small with extremely uncomfortable chairs. Great if you below 5' 5" but killer if your not. The room was HOT and the AC did not work properly. After removing all the down on the bed it was still to hot to sleep. I ate at the restaurant in the hotel by recommendation. One of the worst means I've had in my life. Stringy Beef and wilted salad. Breakfast was Ok if you like cold everything, eggs meat etc... I would never stay here again. Leave the Hotel was even more of a nighmare as you have to drive thru cafe's full of people to get to a road to airport. No warning by staff. A truly Horrid experience

We spent two nights in this hotel in the context of an 18-days trip (15 hotels) through the western Balkans. The main advantage of this B&B is its closeness to the centre of the old city of Sarajevo and the picturesque market place. Most sights are within a short walking distance. The hotel room was spacious enough and quite functional. The double bed transmits all movements of your fellow sleeper and the walls do not offer a perfect sound insulation. There is also some noise from the terrace of the adjacent Hotel Europe. There is potential for amelioration in the bathroom (tiny shower cabin, scalding hot water coming immediately). The in-room safe did not function and was not repaired despite our reclamation at the reception. The breakfast buffet was rich, but gave the impression of negligence. Indifferent staff at the reception desk.

Perfectly located in the heart of the Old Town of Sarajevo, this is an ideal 3* choice for the traveller. Rooms are comfortable and spacious and just a few steps from the centre of the historic old town. Helpful staff, and a good breakfast in the atmospheric restaurant. . Warmly commended.

Like the other reviews emphasize, it's a 3 star hotel right in the heart of old town. The rooms are clean and functional but don't have all the amenities traveler's have come to expect. The rooms could use a hot water kettle, mugs and some coffee/tea. I prefer to make my own breakfast shake in my room but need my morning caffeine and still had to go down to the breakfast room in the basement which I'd prefer to avoid. Bathrooms could use new linens (a little ragged) and there's no individual soaps/shampoos - just the kind that's more economical you'd find in a public washroom. Fine, but definitely bring your own stuff. Thankfully there is AC (maybe that's standard in the region?). It was never clear to me if there was room service - as a business traveler it is something I rely on - don't always want to go out into the crowds and spend time at a restaurant when I could have a quiet dinner in my room.

Room Tip: Upper floors have gorgeous views of the hills. I also had an unbeatable view of the film festival fi...

Great location and good value considering Europe hotel next door is at least twice the price. Part of the same group though. Breakfast was OK there wasn't much left when we got down half an hour before breakfast ended.

Great hotel in a superb location in the Old Town. Just go out of the hotel entrance take a left then you're in the main thoroughfare in the Old Town. We only stayed in Sarajevo for 2 nights to do a Srebernica and a siege tour, but out stay in the Hotel Art was very comfortable. Staff on reception were extremely pleasant and helpful. Plenty of choice at breakfast, something for everyone I would say. I wild definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the Hotel Europe which has a very busy terrace on weekend nights, but the sound...

First and foremost, this hotel has the best location (in my opinion) in the city. You walk out into Bascarsija (old city) which is full of restaurants, shops (don't forget to bargain) and cafes. The staff is mostly fluent in english and is friendly (especially the young, new, man at the desk- i believe his name is Armin?)Rooms are clean with basic amenities. Breakfast is average- probably not worth while having it packaged as the same items are served daily and there are tons of cafes on your doorstep which are extremely cheap.
Likely to stay at this location again. Room service is extremely pricey for Sarajevo standards but it was good quality.
