A short summary of my very long review: if you are considering a tour (or many) with Tallest Tourguide Tours - do it right away! I am sure that you will have an amazing experience, just like my husband and I did.
There are some travel experiences that you have which you treasure for life; that's the experience we had with TT Tours. (I did the Tunnels & Sarajevo Siege tour, and both my husband and I did the Lukomir Village tour as well.)
Owner Meme is so passionate about his country and city, and clearly delights in showing it to his guests. His knowledge of Bosnia's centuries of history is impeccable, and he tells it in such a warm and engaging way, with lots of funny and moving stories. He is so friendly and kind, not just to his guests but to everyone you meet along the way as well. He makes everyone feel like an old friend, and immediately puts you at total ease.
(I must also mention that although Meme was our tour guide for both tours, I did get to meet two other staff briefly and they seemed just as lovely.)
As an example of Meme's kindness: I went on the first tour on Saturday afternoon, and asked about the (remote, I thought) possibility of putting together something for my husband's 30th birthday the following day. Meme proceeded to spend his evening helping me to plan a special day, including a birthday cake in Bosnia's highest village! As in, he spent his Saturday night organising a birthday cake and then came in on his day off (a Sunday) to give us the best tour of our lives.
It also helps that Sarajevo is an amazing city and Bosnia a stunningly beautiful country. Lukomir Village and the surrounding canyon was so incredibly beautiful, and we got to eat amazing Bosnian food that was obviously prepared with love and care.
It was honestly such a moving experience and I can't believe how lucky I was to have made a last-minute decision to book in with this company. We will always feel such warmth towards Sarajevo and Bosnia, and that is in huge part thanks to Meme and TT Tours!
