Tirana International Hotel & Conference Centre

Well renovated and modern with a restaurant and terrace with a good view over the central square. Very much a place for conferences and press events.
Bed comfortable and room reasonably well equipped but lacked coat hooks near the door and drawers for clothing. Ours was a “de luxe” room on the 3rd floor – looked more like a standard Western European room. Thick curtains and double glazing kept virtually all the street noise out. Free WiFi worked well and a table to work at.
Good powerful shower in the bathroom and reasonable range of toiletries.
Breakfast had a very wide range on offer, but surprisingly no fresh fruit at all. Excellent yoghurt and home made jam and they’ll cook you an omelette to order. Coffee not at all good – ask for (and pay for) an espresso or macchiato.
Helpful staff, especially the very quick laundry / ironing service.
There is a pool and spa but I did not get a chance to see or use them.
The taxi to and from the airport at EUR 35 is worth it especially if the traffic is bad.

Room Tip: De Luxe rooms seem to be the same as ordinary W. European rooms. Worth getting one overlooking the c...

My husband and I stayed at the hotel during our wedding. We got an upper floor suite and loved it; the view-so romantic, the antiquity of the city intertwined with the excellent decor of the rooms and the amazing service from the staff, excellent food, gym place and spa- just over the top. Loved it here. Made my wedding event less stressful. The manager of the hotel was at our service almost 24 hours and we never missed anything we demanded. Te food was just perfect and their bar was our little escape.. Wonderful service. Would recommend if you want to get the full experience of the city.

As it's more convenient if you have to go quickly from your accomodation to the meeting room you will prefer this hotel to others otherwise perhaps choose an other one The De Luxe rooms are modern but not very well equiped. For example no tea/coffee facilities, no iron, only 4 hangers. I was obliged to ask for a safe.which is normally part of the accomodation services. For a 4 stars ... Breakfast is good no more

Spent 2 nights here when starting a jaunt around southern Alabania.

It’s a rather loveless business hotel located right on Tirana’s main square and it could do with a refurb .
That said the staff are friendly and helpful on reception . English can fail with the restaurant and bar staff but that is to be expected.

Stayed here for two nights while on a group tour of Albania . Our room ( on the 8th floor) had a fabulous view of the main square and Tirana life at every hour of the day . The room was well appointed if small but the bathroom redolent of the 'old days' : you had to step into the bath to take a shower : the shower head wasn't properly attached to the wall and instead of a screen ----a plastic curtain . Breakfast was good and the coffee the best we had in Albania , though that is hardly a compliment . The first day we enjoyed sitting on the restaurant terrace but the second day was rather wet and the canopy didn't entirely keep the rain off the tables .The breakfast staff were attentive and pleasant . Excellent position for visiting all the sights of the city .....most within walking distance .

My first stay at this hotel. The rooms are quiet enough, despite the hotel being next to the main square. The staff are professional and courteous. I had to wonder, however, about having only two relatively small elevators for a hotel this size (11 floors?). But wait times were not unreasonable, except when there was a gang of people checking out. :)

The hotel is older, but very well maintained. The breakfasts were very good, and they know how to do coffee. Waiters were very attentive.

The hotel manager insisted to keep my passport unless i made a full payment upon my arrival, which i have never faced this attitude before in any other hotels. I cannot travel around without my passport thus i must pay for my 4 nights staying in advance to get it back, which i found it very unpleasant.

The hotel has two taxi drivers that can drive you anywhere you want. However make sure you ask and deal the price with the receptionist about your destination, otherwise the taxi driver will charge for a much higher price. In short, never pay to the taxi driver of the hotel, only pay to the hotel staff (there is a girl at at the tourism office inside the hotel be responsible for managing the taxis).
