Hotel Kruja is an old family-run hotel with an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is close to the center and is quite quiet. The beds are fine while the rooms and bathrooms are clean and simple. One lack is that there is no elevator. The hotel has a very nice bar and a charming patio where breakfast and other meals can be taken. I only tasted the breakfast buffet which, besides the usual, also offered homemade delights like marmalades, yougurt and grilled peppers.

Some very nice rooms with balconies, some so so rooms that are small, no phones in some rooms. Good bar and nice garden. No elevator. Well located, about 10 minutes walk from Skanderberg Square. Limited English proficiency from employees.

This hotel is fairly basic. The twin rooms are small and the bathroom facilities tight. The breakfast is adequate. However, it is located within easy walking distance of the central square and museums. The best feature is the food if you choose to eat there. The chef understands the importance of flavour and will tailor the menu to suit. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the younger ones who have better English.

Room tip: There is no elevator so select lower floors if you have heavy luggage.

Pleasant reception! Small hotel operated by friendly and helpful staff! Hotel is conveniently located near the center of the city. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and ample. Restaurant on premises served nice meals.

Despite being designed for the more budget-conscious, Hotel Kruja’s service was on-par with the finest of hotels. Staff were extremely friendly and helped with bags, suggestions, and even offered up personal vehicles to get us to the bus station if we didn’t want to pay for a taxi (I think that last one was because they liked us.) The beds were fine, the bathrooms were okay (the showers flood the bathroom and you need to throw away toilet paper rather than flush it, but as we travel it appears that that’s pretty standard in this country,) but the hotel has its own well and the tap water is drinkable, unlike anywhere else in the city! On the ground floor they have a lovely bar and breakfast room, but the back patio is truly a pleasure. You can tell that Hotel Kruja is a great establishment from all the the police officers that choose to frequent the cafe on their breaks. Perhaps the most charming thing during our stay was the chef; there wasn’t a menu - he just asked us what we wanted him to make us and then went from there.
