I am a regular patron at Filomar when on island. The Corvina is to die for and the Barracuda is also excellent. Prices are very reasonable averaging $20 per person, and side dishes are large and tasty. Always call in advance for dinner reservations to ensure there is plenty of fresh fish if your party is large. I always start with the omelette appetizer. A local herb is infused with the egg for a unique flavor. Next comes the twice-fried plantain, followed by the main course of barbecued fish and steamed potatoes and vegetables. I always ask for a side of fried rice, too! They bring two homemade sauces to enjoy with your fish. One is hot pepper based and the second, a flavored olive oil. Be sure to try each with a bite of solid white fish. It is might tasty! And I always leave with a full belly!
