We were told by some locals to come to the market early on Sunday morning (5am-7am) and it was SO worth it. While many places will tell you that the market is closed on Sundays, this is when all of the locals come to sell their fish, veges, food and local sweets. The market opens at 4am on a Sunday and it’s an amazing experience if you like markets. There are even a few flower stalls too. Make sure you take cash - there is no credit cards accepted but an ATM close by. Definitely get there early from 7am onwards the market slows down and people begin to pack up.

Fun vibe to this market. Lots of selection/variety. Shops selling carvings, pareos, coconut products, pearls, and shells. Great place to spend a few hours and pick up last minute gifts while waiting for your plane to depart.

This market is so fun! It can be a bit cheesy downstairs and you have to shop around a bit to get the best stuff, but there are some fun things to be had here. If you are looking for shells, there's a great store upstairs that you can dig through to find great stuff! I also found some cool red seed bracelets downstairs from a woman and I never saw anything like them anywhere else. I was wishing I lived there, because the fish and veggie market side was beautiful!

Good option to see local culture. It's possible to buy souvenirs, pearls (not the best option but with a good priece) and food.

We literally spent hours in this market with an amazing assortment of shops carrying everything from fresh fruit and flowers to pearl and shell jewelry and hand crafted art works and merchandise. We left with a full basket and got a big assortment of jewelry clothes and crafts. Bring toilet paper. The bathrooms are clean but no paper.
