“Surprised how rough it was”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

nothing to dislike really, only short journey time. In both directions I was surprised at the size of the swell. But we stayed on top for the fresh air and although windy it was not cold. Would definitely do this again over a flight. Though longer than a flight it added to the experience

“Fast and efficient”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

Ferry from Moorea to Tahiti taken once. 35 mins on fast ferry. Very easy and comfortable. Note that they charge foreigners 30% more than locals for the same ticket. So ask a local to buy it for you!

“great transfer option”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

great way to go from Tahiti to Moorea. If you are not on one of the really early ones, you can walk from the Tahiti terminal to the market and get food. There is a cafe in the terminal in tahiti that has good basic food. If you have not been there before, definitely ride on top!

“quick transfer to Moorea, good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

it takes you from Tahiti to Moorea and vice versa in less than 30 minutes. You can sit inside in an air conditioned area, but we'd like to sit outsite on the front which gives you a perfect view. Retour tickets will cost you about 8 euro if you go by foot. If you want to take your car, you need to make a reservation, especially in the weekends.

“Ferry terminal restaurant the best kept secret in Papeete!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

You have to go to the ferry terminal if you're heading over to Moorea - the fast ferry Aremiti 5 takes 1/2 and hour and I put my rental car on it to go and tour around Moorea for a day which was great. The best discovery however was the restaurant/cafe at the ferry terminal! It is on the second floor, overlooking the harbour and is outdoors but covered so that sun or rain won't get to you. It's the only waterfront restaurant in Papeete that I found and it has a great breeze, fab view and you can chill with good coffee or a beer. What's not to love. You don't have to be taking a ferry anywhere to use it, you just have to know that it's there.
