“great ferry”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

We loved taking the ferry from Papeete to Moorea. It's a quick trip, affordable, and scenic!
There are seats both inside and out, so you can take a break from the wind, too.

“Quick and Easy”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Was by far the best way to get to Moorea. Clean, quiet, huge indoor area, sun deck on top. There is a café inside for drinks and pastries.

“Best way to visit Moorea from Tahiti!”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Aremiti has a fast boat Aremiti 5 that takes 30 minutes to get to Moorea and slow boat option Aremiti ferry that takes an hour. There are resident and non-resident (tourist) fares. You can also take along your car for a fee. It's a wonderful way to go to Moorea whether you are going for a day trip or for a longer stay. You can travel inside with air conditioning or go onto the deck. I recommend the top deck, sunsets are awesome if you happen to be on one of the last boats in the evening. During the day you can see dolphins and flying fish if you are lucky. There is an area to purchase food and drinks. It's definitely a more cost effective option over flying. It's a very enjoyable way to travel between Moorea & Tahiti. Locals who live on Moorea & work on Tahiti or vice versa usually take the first boats in the morning and the last ones at night so they can be a little more crowded.

“Take the car to Moorea, it's cheaper than hiring there”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

Goes from a new terminal, very smart and easy. We took a hire car from Papeete to Moorea on the boat and it works out as cheaper than hiring there even including the fare. Plus you get a nice view of Moorea on the short crossing.

“Best scenic tour”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

The Aremiti 5 is quick 30 minute ferry ride to Moorea. The locals will sit indoors to enjoy the AC, but head up to the top deck for the wind and the sun and the views! The ferry travels efficiently and handles luggage well. The cafe indoors provides quick and good snacks as well as beverages.
