“fast way to Moorea”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

Great way to get to Moorea. It's a super fast, big, and comfortable ship. It only took us 30 minutes to get there.

“delightful way to travel between Moorea and Tahiti”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

A pleasant ride with lots of nice views of the islands. The ferry was large and carried only about 10% of its capacity so don't feel you have to be super early to get a seat. Plenty of seats, A/C, comfortable. Good value.

“A great way to Moorea”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

This ferry is about a 20 minute ride to Moorea. It beats the heck out of dealing with an airport. They serve food onboard and you also get some great views of both islands!

“Excellent ferry service”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

This is a fast and regular service between Papeete and Moorea. It runs every half an hour and travels at high speed. The crew were very helpful and I would recommend this as the best way to cross quickly and regularly.

“Very nice ferry”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

The ferry terminal in Papeete is very nice -- ATM, bathroom, cafe, etc. It was easy to get tickets and board the ferry. The ferry itself was very clean and nice. Food is available for purchase on board as well. The top deck is blindingly white -- don your sunglasses before coming outside!

The only thing is this - the ferry is only 45 minutes from Papeete to Moorea, but it sucked up about 3 hours of our day between getting there (they tell you to get there an hour early) and getting on/off the boat.

If you are pinched for time, the flight might be worth it. Otherwise, this is a good, economical route (1500 xpf per person).
