We went there to have a good snack and a good beer. The snack was so big it became our meal and their beers were so good we didn't feel like drinking a Hinano (the beer of Tahiti).

We agree with many of the reviews here: good beer, good service, so-so food and very touristy. The location is on the busiest street in Papeete so it's noisy unless you sit inside. Funny story is that a local gave us a ride there and said its a good place for drink. Since we had already been there and our French in non-existent we just got out of the car and said, "thank you, good bye" and walked up town looking for a better watering hole. We discovered "Ramparts" a few streets up from the waterfront and found the locals- including the guy who gave us a ride, having their happy hour.

Enjoyed a few pints of their beer but didn't enjoy the snacks we ordered & therefore weren't tempted to stay for dinner. Good service. Enjoyable place to sit for awhile.

Our airport transfer driver recommended this pub to us, and all he said proved to be true. The beer is great, but don't expect speedy service as this is Tahiti.
Food was perfectly OK, but don't forget you'll pay Tahiti's high prices for something you could get for half the price in the UK.
We would have liked to have tried the food trucks across the road, but only had one night. Also, whilst the local beer is nice it isn't as good as the beer brewed here.
Finally it's probably one of the best places to unwind in Papeete whilst watching the local trendsetters walk by or drop in for a drink.

Hip place to go, was a Thursday night when we went. Loaded with toung adults. Free band, was actually very good, but loud. Little choice on menu, very basic food. But their beers are great. Great location. Nice patio as well.
