Our family spent five days at beach cocomo, and the food was outrageously good! We are foodies who love fresh, local cuisine, and we had it here in abundance! Marie sourced everything from her garden and the local market every morning...fresh fresh fresh. She fuses Fijian specialties and food plants with Asian sensibilities, and the results are so incredibly flavourful. The food is so healthy and perfect for the climate. We were travelling with our four young children, and they were so excited every day for the next meal! Plus the setting is like no other...grass roof bure with sand floor, over looking the sea with a beautiful tropical breeze. Heaven!

My family went to Beach Cocomo after too many nights of shangri la's resort food/gecko's for something different. And it was worth the drive.

This place had personality and charm, which is not your average story in fiji! The owners were so sweet and accomdating. I would have loved to stay in the guest houses if I would have known beforehand about this place.

We went for the 3 course option and the food was absolutely delicious. Marie is passionate about the food so it makes a massive difference. All the ingredients are fresh and carefully prepared, served on beautiful plates that add to the charm. If you love your food, and love eating good food cooked by people that love their food, it's the place for you.

Its BYO and book in advance cause it only accomdates a limited number of people, and you don't want to miss out. Oh, and the sunset view is spectacular.

we stayed at the outrigger, which, while lovely, wasn't really our style. we hired a car and ventured out. the highlight of these adventures was our dinner at beach cocomo.

we unfortunately arrived a little late and missed what was surely a superb sunset. everything about this evening was otherwise perfect. my partner and i are vegetarians, but when we popped in earlier in the day to book the evening, the food request did not phase our wonderful hosts.

we sat on the sand within a gorgeous, intimate fijian bure. being a small space with only enough room for 3 tables, we were lucky to be accommodated. we shared the evening with two other wonderful couples, both were staying on site at the cocomo. we had a lovely time chatting together late into the night, eating the most sumptuous food. marie made us such tasty, wholesome and generous meals, made with care and ingenuity.

we also were treated by sharing our experience with wishbone, possibly the most beautiful dog you can imagine. this dog has a massive heart and showers you with love. he literally cries when you leave, and his presence made the whole experience even more magical.

we now want to go back to fiji so that we can stay at cocomo the whole time, rather than just enjoy the single meal and night there. this is truly a secret of fiji i can't wait to share with others.

We were taking a local (Ex Pat) out for dinner and asked the were they want to go. So it was decided Cocomo would be the destination. On arrival you don't see the restaurant however once parked it is a short walk to the bure that hold the dining area. It is a traditional thatched roof, open windowed bungalow. we were the only guests there and were looked after like royalty.

The food was Korean/Island fusion and at FJD$40pp for about 5 courses was good value. The food was tasty and the ambiance perfect for a group to sit, laugh and drink too much wine. They don't have a license so you need to organize your own wine and call them the day before to book, the food is purchased and cook fresh.

All in all a great experience, probably will end up back there at some stage.
