what an excellent place to stay- clean, welcoming, friendly, affordable and sunsets and sunrises take your breath away. I was so pleased it had one restaurant and 1 pool as the larger resorts are less intimate. All the staff made us feel so welcome and greeted us both by name each time we saw them, making us feel like part of their family. Coming back again for sure as this was truly time out in paradise (I had no access to facebook, tv, radio or internet- so just HAD to smell the roses- this would have to be the ONLY place in the world to get married- VINAKA

Room Tip: the bures in the 30,s are the best!!

Bula! we Stayed for 4 nights and had booked 4 ocean view bure rooms . We had an excellent stay and enjoyed all all the activities at the hotel. Staff was very friends and kids meals had plenty of choice. Bure rooms were a bit dated but the hotel service and the activities made up for it. Ocean view from the room was excellent.

There were activities like snorkelling, kayaking , scuba diving, volley ball, table tennis , tennis etc to keep us all occupied.

Only negative would be that the the wifi signal was very weak in the room and breakfast spread was same every day. Also there is no tv in the room. Not that we missed the tv in the Days we were there.

Overall a very pleasant n memorable stay in an extremely friendly resort. i would recommend this hotel any day to anyone looking for Accommodation.

booked with my holiday centre all went smoothly transfers included and ready for us on arrival and on time for departure also included was 500 FJ $ resort credit which we used on spa treatments and other extras
did the all inclusive package food/drinks first time for us to do this and was surprised at how good the food was and plently of choices to cater for all we upgraded to a deluxe beachfront bure so glad we did room was beautiful and modern had an indoor shower and massive double shower outside was so different looking at the sky view from front was about 20 steps to the water. grounds were immaculate the deluxe bures are further away from main pool/restaurant area but this didnt bother us was a nice walk in the mornings and evenings many a great sunset photo taken on the way to dinner . the ideal thing was you could do nothing or everything activities every day to join in if you wished pool volleyball was a hit with hubby everyday at 11 am and aqua gym in the pool for me at 11.30 each day. trivia and games to play each night at the bar before dinner were fun too.High tide in the mornings we went snorkelling in the clear warm water most mornings the only tv is in the bar area and is always on football which we were happy with there was a show on everynight which was quite entertaining the staff were all so friendly and helpful and seemed to enjoy their job which flows onto the guests all in all a great resort would highly recommend and we will be going back the only negative is that the coral coast resorts are at least one and a half hours drive from airport which is a bit of a drag but worth it when you get there.

Room Tip: I would recommend upgrading to the Deluxe beachfront bure they are all renovated and have the amazi...

Our family group of 10 (aged from 4 - 50Yrs) recently spent 6 nights at Hideaway. The staff were fantastic - friendly, welcoming and always willing to go out of their way to help. We spent a lot of time poolside and the kids loved the waterslide. The beach isn't as pretty as those on the islands, but still a nice beach to walk along. 3 of our group spent a lot of time snorkelling and kayaking (only during high tide).
Food was great, with plenty of choice. The all inclusive deal is definitely worth the money if you don't mind a drink. Varied entertainment every night was enjoyable and we loved that crowd participation was encouraged.
We all stayed in the roomy Frangipanni garden bures which were kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping and are great value. All had ocean views. The manicured gardens are beautiful..No falling coconuts here.
The Spa didn't disappoint, reasonably priced and very professional. Good range of Pure Fiji products available.
Not sure I could recommend the fishing charter as 6 of our group (including a child) took a charter and the boat broke down. They did enjoy most of the day and caught 3 fish including a nice wahoo, which the chef was kind enough to cook for us that night. Overall we loved our first stay at the Hideaway. I'm sure we'll be back.

We recently stayed at Hideaway for 7 nights, at the end of our month-long holiday, travelling around Fiji. We were pleasantly surprised at the changes that had been made within 12 months of us being there previously.

The "Quick Bite" snack bar and Smoothie bar next to the pool, were a welcome addition, as we opted not to take the All-Inclusive Meal Package this time. A Hideway Snack Wrap and a Smoothie was more than adequate for lunch, after a big breakfast!

As it was our wedding anniversary, we got a lovely gift of a fresh fruit basket, 2 "Hideaway" sulus and a letter from Management.

We had a garden bure this time which had both an indoor and outdoor shower. We were in the back row along the fence, but it doesn't really matter which room you get, as they are all fitted out with huge beds and are immaculately clean.

The Staff were wonderful as usual, and we can say that it was great to see the same faces again and some new ones!

We can recommend Apisai, one of the taxi drivers located over the road from Hideaway, whom we met last year, so we were happy to contact him again as he offers a punctual and affordable service to anywhere along the Coral Coast. Contact "Api" on 933 9118.... we know that he will look after you!. Api has a clean and roadworthy mini-van and will even do transfers to the airport, should you need one. We have used a lot of taxis on both the main islands in Fiji, so we can certainly vouch for him being a good and very careful driver.

Make sure you visit Pacific Harbour for a great day trip and nice food & Kula Eco Park for a well-maintained nature park with a chance to hold Iguanas and Boa-Constrictors and feed the Hawksbill Turtles.

Overall it is a great holiday destination, the Staff look after you and the facilities are exceptional.

Room Tip: All depends of if you want a view of the beach. The quieter rooms are located further away from the...

My husband and i stayed at the hideaway for 12 nights in March 2013 as a belated honeymoon.
I have stayed at the hideaway on many occasions, this trip being my 6th.
Compared to all the years traveled i must say things have changed alot at the resort.
Staff are ALL amazing as always, hence why we keep going back..
Could not thank all of our friends enough, you's are the reason why we keep on coming back.

This time around there were a few things that were dissapointing.
1: waited 5 hours before we could check into our room.
2: room was noted as 'Honeymoon' and nothing was arranged
3: There was no disco or night entertainment after the shows (this was very dissapointing)
4: Not much variety with the menu.

The room itself (ocean view) was gorgeous with everything you could possibly need.
House keeping staff do an AMAZING job with the room always left clean and fresh.

The gardens are also well maintained, so good job to all the groundscrew staff.

Day time activites could do with a change.

Very good family resort, would definately go back, all thanks to our friends!!!!

My family and I recently spent 10 days at this resort in a garden bure. The rooms need some freshening up but were very comfortable and keep very clean by the staff. We were on the fully inclusive package through My Fiji which also included a $500.00 Fiji credit. I feel this is the only way to go as the prices for food and drinks was quite expensive with nowhere else to go other than the pub across the road. The staff were great, Kini & Jon (Activities officers) and Voli (waitress) were exceptional. The male members of our group greatly enjoyed the daily pool Volley ball match..with the women doing the daily water aerobics (not so much fun) and I can't forget to mention the "Sun-dance" no fun-no sun !!
Although we had no small children with us I did notice how good the staff were with all the kids there. All in all we had a great time but 10 days was a tad too long as the menu and nightly entertainment was on a 7 day roster so we were starting to re-live our first 7 days over again. A must do is to visit the Outback cafe in Sigatoka, this is the only Fijian owned and operated business in town, they also run tours which include transport at very reasonable prices. Also the ziplining was great fun.
