My husband and I enjoyed 5 nights in a one bedroom club suite with private plunge pool. Our expectations of this resort were high and we were not disappointed, it was 5 star in all aspects. The staff in all areas are just fantastic.
Booking a club suite means receiving the Club Intercontinental benefits, some of which are private check-in at the Club Lounge, breakfast daily in any of the restaurants, afternoon high tea, evening cocktails and canapés. Butler service. Non alcoholic drinks in the club lounge and much more!!!!
The breakfast at the Club Lounge is a continental buffet and you can order cooked breakfasts off the menu as well. Big breakfast, pancakes, waffles, omelette and more. The Navo breakfast we found was basically the same, we enjoyed the view of the beach/river from Navo, however preferred being up in the Club due to the more intimate setting and atmosphere. The coffee is great no matter where in the resort you get it.
Afternoon tea is a traditional high tea with sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea, all absolutely delicious. Our favourites were the scones and carrot cake. A different selection every day
Cocktails and canapés include a small selection of canapés, a different selection every day. Unlimited cocktails and beautiful Fijian entertainment, we had two men playing ukulele and singing, with the sun setting over the pool - just perfection.
We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at Toba, we had 12-hour pork belly and Mediterranean fusilli with rosemary potatoes and broccoli and it was divine and very generous portions. We also enjoyed pizza and wedges poolside from Toba a couple of times.
We had buffet dinner and breakfast at Sanasana, both enjoyable, a great selection of food, however much busier and noisey due to families so we enjoyed Toba and the Club over Sanasana due to this.
The food and alcohol is pricey, but prices can be found on the resorts website and if you are prepared for that you won’t be too worried about it. We took a couple of bottles of champagne from duty free which we enjoyed in our room.
The spa experience was just beautiful, we booked an organic therapy treatment for 90 minutes. Also using the Wai Zone prior to our treatment. The staff, again were fantastic, we received a beautiful ginger tea and energy biscuit prior to our treatment and the whole experience was just so relaxing. Purchase your Pure Fiji products here to take home as they are pretty well priced I felt. Also available in a shop under the main check in area.
Our room was huge, plenty of room for more than two people. The plunge pool was such a treat and we are so glad we booked it. Beautiful Pure Fiji products in the room daily as well as non alcoholic minibar and snacks refreshed daily.
The Bula bus ran every 15 minutes around the resort, but many times we jumped on one of the golf carts and they took us wherever we needed to go. We also walked a lot around the resort.
Don’t miss the fire lighting ceremony, it’s a must. And if kid free, use the pool closest to the beach as it’s adults only.
The bus to the Natadola Golf course goes from reception every 30 mins. The course is brilliant. Lunch and drinks are a bit cheaper there too, you can go up just for lunch.
We had a late flight on the last day so checked out of our room and the staff kindly put us in another room (without the plunge pool as they were all full for that night) so we had use of a room until our transfer arrived at 6pm.
We will be back and will bring the kids too.
