My wife and I stayed the last 4 nights of our Fijian holiday in the club area of this resort. We had high expectations as you would when you have paid nearly $1000 AUD a night. We came away feeling a bit let down by our experience here.
We arrived at the resort early afternoon being let off at the huge open lobby area of the hotel. As we were staying in the club area we had to wait for a buggy to transport us to the club lounge as it was quite a hike up a hill to get to. We waited standing in the lobby (no seating there) for about 15 minutes before our ride arrived.
We then entered the club lounge and completed the check in procedure and was told a buggy would come soon to take us to our room. It took nearly 30 minute before we were picked up to be taken to our room and the silly thing was we could have walked to it in about 2 minutes.
We arrived at the door and immediately noticed the bottom of the door was in need of some repair. We walked into the room to find this huge lounge area which was furnished in a very minimal way. We walked out to our terrace and plunge pool to find the pool was starting to develop some concrete cancer therefore had some big brown rust like marks at the bottom of the pool. We settled in and then decided we would have a shower before making our way upto the club lounge for afternoon tea. We both ended up having cold showers as there was no hot water at all. This issue was fixed quickly after we complained but by this time we had become a little disenchanted by the place. Its the old saying that you don't get a second chance at a first impression and I'm afraid this was the case here.
On our last night we decided to treat ourselves to the fine dining restaurant Navo. We were warned before hand there was a dress code and this meant I had to wear a shirt with a collar, long pants or shorts that went down to at least the knee and shoes not sandals. This restaurant also advertises no children after 7.30pm. We both dressed appropriately and then upon our arrival at approx 8pm found a large table of diners with young children and another very large table of diners in shorts and tshirts who were very loud at times shouting out obscenities. Not what we had hoped for for our last romantic dinner in Fiji.
Also our room was never serviced until late in the afternoon, one day close to 4pm before it was done.
Positives are the resort is situated on a beautiful beach and the staff in the club area are all very friendly and helpful.
All in all we were underwhelmed by this hotel, again considering what we paid per night to stay. I know there are many glowing reviews in Tripadvisor for this resort but we can only review going by our experience.
If we had been paying half of what we paid we may not have felt as disappointed as we did but we expected better.
I would find it hard to recommend this hotel going on our experience.

17 of us aged from 14-79 stayed for 5 nights over Easter and had such a great time. Special shout out to Marc who looked after our group of 17 by the pool and beyond. Nothing was too much. A last minute request for a birthday cake was not a problem. Marc contacted Isha.B who stayed on passed the end of her shift and made the most delicious mud cake for us. Thank you Isha and Marc.
