We have just arrived home after spending 3 weeks at Club Fiji Resort and had a great experience staying in a place that is truly Fiji. Previously we have stayed in the big name hotels in Denarau, but to be honest, you could be anywhere in the world. At Club Fiji Resort there is no marble reception area; just a warm welcome and a place we felt able to settle into easily. A home away from home.
Our accommodation was beach front bure (unit with bathroom, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities) with a deck facing the beach where we watched wonderful sunsets each evening. We enjoyed the free breakfast - both continental and cooked, the pool, the beach so handy to our bure, and the grounds that were well maintained. The staff were genuinely caring and welcoming. The girl who looked after our unit was unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy. The front of house, restaurant, and bar staff were all attentive and accommodating of our needs. My only negative comment is of the restaurant. The meal that arrives on the table is not always as expected and often not hot. The new Indian chef Kishore does make wonderful curries though!
We will definitely go back to Club Fiji = it is the real Fiji experience.

Room Tip: A beach front room does cost a little more but it is well worthwhile.

We still at club Fiji for 2 weeks its was ok the price for drink was to expensive 1 can of sprite cost me $5 .The breakfast was the same every morning bread-egg-bacon and the fruits were old the containers the cereals were in was old and looked dirty.the employees were nice but so slow it takes literally 20 minutes to get a drink and another 20 to get your change back once you pay them.the managers are useless not friendly at all.i ordered my daughter a small birthday cake it cost me $60 and charged me for face towels that were misplaced $5 each . They try to make money any way they can.the security guard sits in the dark and hardly any lights near the rooms just tiki lights didn't feel safe at night.

I stayed at Club Fiji for 4 days recently and can honestly say I loved it. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable, hot water with good pressure, tea & coffee facilities, huge bed, fan, air con, plenty of lighting and a good sized balcony that looked over the pool and beach area. The resort grounds are spotless and beautiful! Plenty of palm trees and hammocks where you can sun bake and read a book, very quiet and peaceful! All the staff were very welcoming and would always ask if they could help with anything. There are kayaks & pedalos that are free to use and free fishing trips at 11am every day. Staff recommended some trips from elsewhere, went fishing one day out on the reef and spent a day on a sail boat with all food and drink included, both were fantastic days and would recommend them to anyone! Resort was only 10-15 mins from the airport and the same distance to Denarau!
I felt the hotel was great value for money and would return for sure!

We stayed two nights at Club Fiji - one either side of our trip to Barefoot Island Resort in the Yasawas. Because of our travel times, we barely saw daylight here, so you'd think we wouldn't have much to complain about, and yet we felt over and over again that we were being gouged for little things (after paying a reasonable rate, of course).

An example: They offer a free airport transfer. Turns out that's only one-way - from the airport to the hotel. So we had to order a taxi to get to Denerau to board the Yasawa Flyer the next day. They said they'd order us a taxi; it turned out the 'taxi' was the same resort van they used to pick us up in - and charging a good deal more than a local taxi. They also claimed the free breakfast would be available before we left. It wasn't - either day we stayed there. We asked if we could have a free transfer to the airport in place of the four breakfasts we'd paid for but hadn't received. No dice.

Other reviews suggest this place grows on you if you stay there for a while, but if you're after a pleasant place to spend a couple of nights, look elsewhere.

Room Tip: An ocean-view bure is just as good as a beachfront, in my opinion. You can see other bures, but you...

Thank you for your response..Our average price for a Bure is about AUD 100 per night this includes 20 % govt tax this is for single or 2 Adults ,, this includes Free full American Breakfast which is anything on continental Buffet and any cooked breakfast,,, Price also includes Air conditioning in all Bures ........free pick up from all International flights .. free snorkeling trips every day in one of our boats and free entertainment most nights ..I think you are being grossly unfair saying we are penny pinching ! you seem angry because you had to pay to go to Denarau ...I dont understand why i should have to pay when you want to go somewhere..we do use our minibus for taxi runs sometimes, when it is available ,, your comment that infers we charge more than a taxi is vindictive and not correct..
, we advertise our rates which are reasonable and rates in line with the fiji scale ... a lot of taxis will charge more...Breakfast is from 7 am until 10 am everyday always on time ..... if you leave the resort before 7 am it is not our fault that you cannot have breakfast .... john owner GM
you will not be able to have breakfast

I had a wonderful stay at Club Fiji. The bures are simple yet very comfortable. The staff is great with smiles and pleasantness no matter what time it is. The beach is exposed when the tide is low, and covered when it's up. It's very beautiful, if you look closely. They offer free snorkeling at 11:00 am, and fishing trips. I went out on a handline trip with Sam, and we did very well catching quite a few fish in a couple of hours. The restaurant cooked fish for me that night with vegetables and cassava. It was excellent!! The cooks are very good and take pride in pleasing you. The pool was cleaned every morning, and was very nice. The grounds were very clean, and taken care of. The theme nights of fire dancing, island dancing, and other entertainment were really good. I never had a mosquito bite while I was there, and the dinners at the restaurant were very enjoyable, atmosphere, and quality. It's a little out of the way, but taxis are readily available, and don't cost too much to go to the marina or nadi town. I will come back again, to see everyone and stay awhile to rest and relax. Thankyou, everyone for a good time. Vanaka.

A classic Fijiian experience......certainly not 7 star facilities, but easily 10 stars for kindness, manners and old fashioned care for guests. Staff were just beautiful, all facilities, including bar, restaurant and pool were spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were fresh and cooked exactly as we wished, and lunch and dinner choices, while not endless, were delicious. Theme nights were lots of fun, and staff also had lots of suggestions for activities and tours. We loved the mix of people from all over the world, from all backgrounds and cultures, who seemed to love Club Fiji as much as we do!

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a beachfront bure if available.
