“Fiji Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

It was a fun trip on Seaspray Sailing Tour. Me and my wife absolutely enjoyed it. It was good opportunity to see various islands in Fiji. The timing all visit to various islands and stopover was good. We had good time at Modriki Island. We snorkeled, and hung out at the beach. It was fine white sand. Extremely gorgeous. we traveled to a Fijian Village on another island. It was fine experience to taste Kava there and see how the traditional Fijian village is. The guides constantly sang songs to entertain the tourist. And lunch was perfect. Eat as much as you can. The fresh BBQ on board, right from the grill onto our plates with other fresh fruits and salad and island food. The coach transfer to hotel was fine and on time. I and my wife enjoyed the trip and recommend anyone traveling Fiji to go on this tour. If your are ok traveling in sail boat. this will be a fun trip.

“Great day trip. ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

Awesome day trip around the islands. Snorkelling around the island castaway was filmed was good although not the best I've seen. Food was pretty good on the boat & the crew were great.

Chilling out on a sailing boat with the Fiji weather couldn't get much better.

“A Fijian Highlight!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014

Without a doubt, this was one of the highlights of my time in Fiji. The full day tour combined various boat rides, with opportunities to snorkel, sight-see, experience traditional Fijian culture, and enjoy the islands of the Mamanuca group.

The Seaspray itself is a well maintained 83' schooner that was built in 1928! Like other reviewers have pointed out, the vessel makes way under power; the crew didn't raise the sails on our tour. Despite this, the perfect weather and sea conditions allowed us to putt along at a quiet, comfortable pace to enjoy the beautiful scenery (gorgeous blue waters, and lush, vegetation covered islands and islets.

The first stop was Mondriki Island (Modriki... Monuriki... I'm not sure about the spelling, because every document I came across spelled it differently). In the sheltered bay, we were given about 1 hour to explore (sadly, this was definitely NOT enough time, in my opinion). The sand on the beach was a lovely off-white color, and the waters offered great visibility. We saw a number of different marine creatures, including a bunch of little black squid! :)

Back on the Seaspray, the included lunch was all you could eat (coleslaw, potato salad, mixed greens, sausage, chicken and BBQ'd fish! Everything was very tasty! Plus, there was a nearly-unlimited supply of water, soft drinks, and local beer!

The traditional village visit on Yanuya Island was an interesting experience; it provided a glimpse into the lives of the ~600 villagers who live with only limited power and fresh water. We watched and took part in a short, 5-minute Kava Ceremony, followed by time to browse through the locals' "hand-made" arts and crafts (which unfortunately were very similar to the items found on nearly every other island around the world...) My only comment was that it would have been nice to see deeper into the lives of the local villagers, as opposed to just spending time shopping...

The return trip aboard the Seaspray was enjoyable, as the crew provided entertaining music, song and dance. The crew were all very happy, friendly, funny and obviously enjoyed their jobs (which makes a world of difference in the tourism industry).

All in all, a great experience!

“Really Enjoyable day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

We had a great time on our cruise. We left Port Denarau on a large catamaran which took us to Mana Island. We then transferred to Seaspray and our trip started with fresh fruit, cookies and champagne. We snorkelled for an hour at Monuriki Island (where Castaway was filmed) and returned to the boat for a beautiful bbq lunch. You could help yourself to as much or as little food and drinks as you wanted. We then went to another island for a traditional island welcome and look around. The crew were very friendly and anticipated our every need and helped us with it.
As always in Fiji we were serenaded the day long.

“Fantastic day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

We went on a day trip to monuriki island, where castaway was filmed.

The staff on the boat were great and the islands are just beautiful.

Lunch was of a really good standard too, and I'd definitely recommend doing this trip if you are going to be in Nadi!
