Capricorn Fiji Hotel
Ranked #20 of 25 Hotels in Nadi

We have stayed here on three separate occasions. At NZ$63 per night for the room, it represents excellent value for what is provided (Fiji $88). This includes a continental breakfast. The rooms are reasonably clean and tidy, particularly if you are in given rooms 254 to 264, which may be a newer wing. You can get a full body hour long-massage - a very good one - for Fiji$28 at the Hotel. We had dinner and lunch as well and these were good value, costing Fiji$16 for a main and $4 for a beer. The meals were tasty and a reasonable helping. The live entertainment was a little noisy on Saturday night, but otherwise a great stay - I would absolutely visit again.

I love the people but woke up covered with welts!!! BEDBUGS!! I have been to this hotel a few times but this was the worst! I told them about it and hope it gets sorted. I won't stay here again unfortunately. The massage from Lin was awesome!!!

Room Tip: make sure you check for bedbugs!!!

Their website advertises a '3 Star hotel' which overstates the truth by at least 1-2 stars.
Tired rooms, bathrooms that haven't been touched since the place was built, with cracked tiles and taps that worked with minds of their own, paper thin worn old bedsheets that were only just slightly thicker than the walls.
Speaking of which I won't elaborate on the noises from adjoining room I had to endure at night!
A tiny portable TV propped on a stool that was supposed to have 10 satellite channels - I had about 2 in total.
But the staff were excellent I must say. Friendly, polite, remembered you every time you walked through the public areas, and genuinely did their best with the limited resources at their disposal.
I just hope the management realises the staff are their best and only asset.

Room Tip: Don't check in

Dont let the photo's fool you the hotel is over priced and very basic. The rooms are dirty, damp and beds and bedsheets old. The food is terrible and will mess up your trip if you choose to eat. The swimming pool os very small and really just for children. The staff are ok, friendly but a biit aloof at times. Try somwhere else!!!

Room Tip: Dont get the fully furnished room with kitchenette

We only stayed one night, one night too long! Insects crawling around the kettle, service at the restaurant extremely slow and seem to have forgotten milk for the coffee, coffee was stone cold by the fifth time we asked for some milk. Had tp pay for phone calls we didn't make as could not get a connection. Very rude front staff.

Shower in room had mould around it and was cold water. And we had to pay for this?

Room Tip: There isnt a good room

This was a pre payed package, with free transport to Hotel from airport and back from hotel to airport, i e -mailed this hotel 2 days before my depature letting them know our flight details and asked for them to pick us up, we had no reply and no one at airport to pick us up....... we caught a taxi to motel.Once we checked in they gave us a basic room when i orded a deluxe twin room which i payed extra for ..........they fixed this really quickly as i let them know i was not satisfied with their service as they had not picked us up at the airpot either.
The rooms are very basic even if you upgrade, you get tea and coffe, kettle and a dirty fridge ,old tv with satelite( 7 channels) , and air con.The bathroom is old you need to watch you dont cut your feet on shower drainage as metal is sharp, you only get soap no shampoo etc........ hair drier you need to ask for at reception , the towels if you are lucky they might give them to you at 3pm, as they are running low so they have to wash them and give them back to you, i had to ask 3 times for towels in the room, the room itself is dirty and there are creepy crawlies and the way they make the beds is strange they have a sheet as underlay then on top u have a blanket then a sheet on top of blanket . They have a band which is live entertainment x3 a week which is really loud but stops playing around 10pm ........... so toooooooooo bad if you need to get up early the next day or just want to chill and watch tv you need to pump the tv volume.
Apart from all of this the B/fast was really nice you had light B/fast which included juice , fruit, weetbix , corn falkes, toast, tea and coffe, if you dont mind sitting outdoors with no air-con just cieling fans and stray cats wanting to be fed
The staff are really friendly but not very helpful as we asked to book in some tours and they told us that we had to wait until the next day that the tour desk lady was in she works from 7am to 3pm,at the end of my holiday i found out the same office was opened around the corner until 5pm.
Tansport is really good even on week ends there is a bus that takes you to town they come past every 5 minutes for 70 cents of fjd if you catch a taxi to town it will be 10 dollors fijian money................ bus stops at 6pm
Finally on our last day we booked the free shuttle to the airport from hotel ................ it was not a shuttle bus as they advertise it is a taxi........... well the taxi driver decides to put the money meter on so i told him sorry i am not paying as this is a free service get the hotel to pay you , he said ok ok no problem ............. so if you are planning to stay at this hotel just be aware of their ways..................
