“Great place to park your Luggage”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2012

We had a layover for 10 hours and thought that we would put our luggage in the lockers which would have cost us $15NZD but the lockers were out of order. As we were sitting outside planning on what to do, a local gentlemen started talking to us and we found out that we could store our luggage at Aquarius Rarotonga on the Ocean which is located right across from the airport only a 2 min walk and he even told us to take the airport trolley and bring it back when we return. So we went to the hotel and stored our 2 bags for $20NZD and set out to go shopping but when we got to the shops they were all closed and were told that everything closes by 1pm on Saturdays. So we came back and sat in the restaurant which has a nice ocean view, watched news on the big screen TV and had some dinner. The food was ok nothing to write home about. As is common with the Island Restaurants food is expensive average $30NZD per person.

“Great lay over spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2012

Dined here as we waited for a connecting flight to LA. Loved the location, enjoyed the food and drink and was able to buy some reasonably price wifi time. Managers were friendly, and happy for us to keep our bags at the front door. Probably wouldnt want to stay here as the beach isnt flash for swimming, but as a place to kill a few hours between flights, it can't be beat!

Actually the restaruant part is called "The Coral Club". Been there for a snack on a Saturday while we waited for our flight. Saturdays there's nothing open on afternoon. Almost everthing will close around 1 PM. This restaurant is one of the exception. It doesn't close. We were thankful for this. We watched Rugby and ate a snack. It's comfortable and clean. We were surprised by the fact that it also had lots of interesting information about Aquarius' history on it's walls.
