Just another theater with some history which is also nothing special. If you have nothing else to do go see it.

Though an impressive old world style building, it needs some sprucing up and maybe a more stylish front entry. I suppose it is OK for this city, but is a bit dated.

Totally refurbished (looks new) old style theatre. It's in the shape of a U inside and very close to the stage from all seats. Lots of floors and balconies all overlooking the stage. Its definitely a "don't miss it" place in Montevideo. There's also great restaurant for when events aren't going on inside. We didn't hit the restaurant but everyone we met who went there loved it.

The guided tour was amazing. You can take it in Spanish for free or pay a small tax to take it in English. The place is so beautiful. You can see the small rooms and take a tour through the main hall and the little museum they have there. I'm sure you'll fall in love.
