We did not stay there, but we had a lunch with our tour.
The place is like a part from heaven… Flowers, scenery, everything was incredible. There was an open buffet set up in restaurant. All the food was delicious. We loved Peruvian kitchen. We ate until we cannot move. Of course we drank Qusqenia beer from the first minute we arrived in Peru and also famous lemonade made with egg white. I could drink 5 glasses of it. We couldn’t leave from there to continue our daily tour together with the other tourists of tour from this place.
We like it a lot.
Sulpayki!

An amazing place to stay. Very comfortable rooms, very friendly, helpful staff, good restaurant and great breakfast with excellent omelette chef! In an excellent position for visiting Inca sites in Sacred Valley, especially Machu Picchu.
Would love to visit this hotel again.

While the property is "charming" and has very beautiful grounds, the rooms are terrible. It starts with door locks that open with huge skeleton keys. The locks are difficult to figure out, and are not secure. The rooms are cramped and tiny. The furnishings included a bed, a small wooden table, a wooden chair with uneven legs and a very small dresser. My room was near the staircase, and the noise from other guests coming and going was very noticeable. The wireless was very weak, and faded in and out. The floor is hard, cold tile, which did not feel great underfoot. I wanted a lite meal, so ordered at the bar what was called "Peruvian chicken & potatoes"; it turned out to be something similar to chicken nuggets at McDonalds and French fries. This was the worst place I stayed in Peru. It is not as advertised.

Room Tip: The staff was responsive and helpful.

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you preference and also the time you took to share with us your experience with us, this will let us to improve in the future. We are deeply sorry to know we have not filled out your expectations but let me explain you that our Hotel is an remodelated old monastery and the style we have and sale is a Hotel from the Sacred Valley, rustic and colonial that is the reason our furniture looks old and are adequate to keep the harmony of our style. We know we have a lot of people that loves our hotel and there will be some that will not. Regarding the wifi and the meal you ordered , we would like to appologize, definitely we are going to check with each area to avoid this issues in the future. We are taking notes of all your comments

The room and view were awesome. The flowers were amazing. This hotel and the Four Seasons in Carmello Uruguay are the two hotels in the world that I would return to in a heartbeat. What a pleasant surprise after staying at several hotels that were billed as 4 star but really closer to 2!! This hotel was really closer to “5*” then a 4*. The room was large, well-furnished and quite lovely with a huge, well-lit bathroom. The grounds are filled with beautiful flowers and walking paths and the lobby is welcoming and tastefully furnished. And the staff treated us like old friends and not strangers passing through. We were greeted with little welcoming messages and gifts in the room recognizing our 50th anniversary. And the Internet service was great with no problems at all. If we had known in advance what this inn was like we would have scheduled an extra day here to enjoy it. In fact, if you are on your way to Machu Picchu you might want to talk with your travel agent about staying here your first night instead of the usual stay in Cusco and then enjoying a relaxing second day here before heading to Machu Picchu.

Room Tip: If you are celebrating a special occasion while staying here, I would encourage you to let the hotel...

The Posada del Inca Yucay is a wonderful hotel that was formerly a monastery. The grounds are filled with beautiful flowers and comfortable common areas. The hotel restaurant had good meals. The services was a little spotty but not enough to ruin the dinner we enjoyed there. There was a good buffet breakfast in the morning and there was outdoor seating if you want to get fresh air while enjoying your meal. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. My only complaint was low lighting that made reading difficult. That was my only complaint! I would definitely stay there again if I return to the Sacred Valley! The hotel also had a couple shops and a nice lobby area. The staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating.

If you want an Andean setting with mountains in the background, this is one of the few hotels in Cusco that has it. Inside the hotel you feel like you are visiting a small town in the Andes. The chapel that you see in their pictures is for real.
