We stayed here 5 nights on my arrival to Peru. Everything went very smoothly from being welcomed at Cusco airport: Birthday cake and Pisco sours on arrival ! Nancy and her team run a very friendly, warm, hospitable place to stay. The grounds and immediate environment are beautiful- a great place to rest and just be. It is a good walk into Town, but easy to catch a 'tut- tut' back-though not all managed to get all the way.. We walked to Las Chullpas- the dogs will show the way, and to the Salt pans. Breakfast was different every day: impressive. Our room , Calibra was very comfortable, but because the sun didn't reach it in February was chiily, and the fire place smoked. Once in bed we were very warm. No hesitation in recommending to other travellers.

On a private guided tour and stayed here 3 nights. Although very rustic was a peaceful place. Beautiful surroundings and great hosts, Jacqueline and Nancy. Tasty breakfasts with ingredients grown right there. Friendly dogs and loved Chloe, the alpaca. They went out of their way to help us our first night when we arrived feeling the effects of altitude. Being an ecolodge do not expect luxuries. It is close to nature.

Room Tip: The suite is very roomy.

We stayed here for one night after our day trip to Machu Picchu. It is a little off the beaten track but taxis will take you there. When we arrived our host explained to us that we could eat there that evening and we were given an option of what we could choose (meat, chicken or vegetarian). The room was lovely, with an open log fire that we needed to light as it got quite chilly! The room was comfortable and the bathroom was nice! The surroundings were amazing - lots of trees growing tasty fruit, birds, plants and some friendly dogs! I would recommend this for a quiet relaxing stay!

After planning to stay for 2 days we loved it so much we ended up staying for 6! The beautiful gardens, the animals and the great team all made our stay incredible. Nancy and her team made us feel like family. We were sad to leave and hope we have the opportunity to visit Las Chullpas again.

Room Tip: If you can get the room with the huge bathroom and the rock in the middle...

I had recently returned from a trip in Peru. During my time there I had booked to stay a night with Las Chullpas, 2-months prior to being in Peru.

Upon arrival at the place, they had no reservations for my group. I showed them my reservations and they did confirm that I had purchased the stay, but had no rooms available, because they had rented them all up. So we had to hike back out and go find another place.

The place looked fine, but I would NOT recommend this place to anyone based on how unprofessional they were on handling the simplest of things...A RESERVATION. Which is what lodges/hotels/hostels are fundamentally based upon. And this could happen to you!

Me and my boyfriend took a taxi from the Cusco airport to Las Chullpas ..After arriving to Urubamba our taxi driver was circling around town and narrow streets looking for the place.Showing him an address and asking local people didn't help too.I think he was ready to give up,so he tried to convince us not to go there at all and find another hotel."No reccomendo" he repeated few times.Finely he find he's way and we got to Las Chullpas. We were so glad that we didn't listen to this taxi driver and made it there. Nancy, our host and partial owner is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Everyone is very friendly there, even dogs.First day we had almost whole place for our selfs. It was so peaceful and beautiful, very interesting decor in the rooms.Next morning we had an amazing breakfast with very warm and personal service.Going to town,Nancy helped us with taxi and gave us recommendations and even helped us to buy entrance tickets to Machu Picchu. Only downside that it is very cold at night and we had a hard time to start the fire, which made us laugh ,but blankets were really warm and one evening we noticed huge black spider under the ceiling. It was nerve-breaking,but we called stuff for help and nice girl came and got read of the spider.
The day that we were leaving ,my boyfriend complained to Nancy that he didn't feel good and described he's problems. She gave him plant from the Las Chullpas medicinal garden, made him a special tea, gave him a beautiful ceramic cup to take with.
So,Las Chullpas is:the beautiful, green, relaxing spot surrounding by mountains, very friendly, helpful and happy stuff and magical night sky covered with amazing Urubamba's stars.
Thank you,Las Chullpas stuff for making this place so memorable.

My husband and I stayed in Las Chullpas with our two daughters on our way to Macchu Pichu. We did not expect to be in such a haven of peace. The rooms are decorated with all natural materials and great taste. We relaxed in the beautiful gardens and had lovely family cooking in the dining room every night. The owner is very friendly. Definitely a great place to stay.
