“best hotel at the Sacred Valley”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

I just came back from this hotel, more than a stay it is a complete experience of wellness as the name of the hotel indicates. Personnel is kind, always willing to support you, they give you a very personal service and treatment. I spent my birthday in the hotel and I was surprised by the personnel during dinner time! I would say that it is like an all inclusive hotel where you can stay and not only overnight. For people loving taking pics, it is a Paradise. Highly RECOMMENDED. I whereby thank the hotel and its staff.

Room Tip: do not forget to book for a massage at the spa!

This hotel was an oasis and true 5-star experience! Built around an historic hacienda, the resort offers both colonial and modern rooms. Our modern room was the finest hotel room we experienced in our month-long visit to So. America - offering a separate shower/soaking tub room, spacious accommodations, and a full glass wall with a view of the pond outside and the surrounding majestic green mountains. The lush landscaped grounds are a joy to explore and include an orchard, llamas, macaws, peacocks and a colonial church with gold-leaf two story altar piece and bell tower. This added greatly to the warmth and ambience of the resort. We stayed for three nights to allow time to explore all the Inca sites in the Sacred Valley and looked forward to our return and dinner at the hotel each evening. They even have a cinema where you can view movies upon request, accompanied by complimentary fresh popcorn. The staff are extremely friendly and offer top-notch service and fine dining. The location is in the countryside of the valley away from local towns. If headed to Inca sites or Ollantaytambo to catch the train to Machu Picchu, driving time is involved - but worth it. This resort is not to be missed!

Room Tip: Request a modern room with a view of the mountains.

One of the best hotel not only in Peru but all over the world. It is located at the sacred valley in Cusco and the view is breathtaking. The hotel is surrounded by mountains with clouds and the place is very serene and quiet. Facilities are almost complete and very modern. There is wifi everywhere, swimming pool, gym, museum and even a mini theater and popcorn is served while watching a movie. They even have a church which is designed beautifully. The room is big and the bath tub has jacuzzi. Staying in this hotel will give you relaxation you need after a long hike in Macchu Picchu

My wife and I, and friends stayed just one night on March 8th while on a tour, and that was just not enough time to fully enjoy the Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness. It is truly a 5 star hotel and facility in a resort setting, with matching level of service. We have not stayed in any finer hotel in So. America. We would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to that area of Peru.

Our hotel is one of the finest in South America and it is good to mention that we have the largest spa in the area and our resort has many magical spaces where you can enjoy unforgettable experiences.
I hope in your next stay in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We stayed at this hotel when visiting Machu Picchu (MP) and the Sacred Valley. To get to MP from this hotel, one has to travel by bus or car to Ollantaytambo ( about 35 to 40 minutes), then by train to Aguas Calientes (about 90 minutes) and finally a mini bus up the mountain ( about 20 minutes)! But after a long day at MP, Aranwa is a welcome respite for relaxation with its spa, the pool, the gym and the animals on site. The garden is lovely to just simply walk around in, not to mention the interesting little nooks and corners within the property which one has to explore. Staff are friendly and service level is good. The only comment is that there are no elevators to the 1st floor and guests with walking disabilities should request for rooms on the ground floor. The rooms are large with a nice bathroom equipped with all the necessities. The breakfast spread is ok. We also had dinner at the hotel, and my only comment about the food quality is that it could have been better. Free wifi is available.

I visited last week, together with the other family we were four adults and five kids (age 14-6). All of us loved the hotel. The kids enjoyed the grounds; the pool, the peacock, the alpaca, and the parrots. The staff treated all of us very nicely. The hotel allowed easy access to the Inca sites of the sacred valley and was a wonderful place to come back to after our excursions. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed at this hotel before embarking for Machu Pichu. It is an oasis of tasteful luxury, It is a five-star in every way - from the rooms (we stayed in one of the colonial rooms) which are large, comfortable and quiet to the manicured grounds. While large in area, the hotel has been designed such that everything seems personal.
The hotel has everything from one could need - spa, gym, art gallery, even a small movie theater. There is a verdant riverwalk along the Urubamba River. There are a variety of eating spots including a sushi/sashimi bar. The main dining room served excellent food. The main bar has a pleasant outdoor sitting area next to an extensive water area that courses through the property. Service was faultless.
The hotel has a few shops where we found an alpaca sweater for half the price of one bought at one of the local collective weaver groups.

Room Tip: The colonial rooms have more character than the newer, more modern ones.
