This is one of the most beautiful hotels in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The property is beautiful, with lush gardens, wandering alpaca and lovely rooms. The service was great, the food exceptional and the view of the Andes unparalleled. It was a stopping place for many tourists but we stayed 5 nights, making day tours to all the viallges, markets and ruins and returning each afternoon to enjoy some relaxation. At night they have a small movie theater with a wide assortment of DVDs to chose from. Dinner can be either formal or informal. It was so restful and lovely.

We stayed here one night, wish it could have been two since our prior hotel was the Ramada in Lima (horrible painful beds), on our way to Machu Picchu, we arrived late just in time for a late supper, which was fabulous, they had a pan-flute local playing but that was a tiny bit bad because he was playing American songs, when I'm travelling, I want everything to be local, especially food & music. Great wine room/selection. The rooms were 5 star, so comfortable, large, great bathrooms, Ipod docks, speakers, chargers, Bose stereo, the whole nine yards and the grounds of the hotel..........THE GROUNDS, you could stroll all day long. Very lovely ornate chapel on an island (the grounds have a mini lake) koi pond, pool/jacuzzi, parrots & exotic birds. Pretty standard, lavish breakfast. There is no town within walking distance, this is a resort you go in & stay in but they do have little shops, a spa and the whole place is breathtaking. I don't know the price since I was on a tour.

Room Tip: This place is huge & easy to get lost, be sure you get a map to your room & pick a room far...

We stayed at Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel for two nights. It was so nice just to relax after a hectic travel schedule. The staff, food and accommodation were some of the best we have come across on all of our travels. The rooms were amazing, so roomy and the beds were perfect. My daughter and I went to the wellness centre for a Swedish Massage and it was the best I have ever had. Such a beautiful place on earth, in a valley surrounded by beautiful snow capped mountains, so peaceful, a perfect place to relax and unwind. Loved every minute!!!!!!!!!!

The last portion of our honeymoon was spent at Aranwa Sacred Valley. My husband and I found the resort and scenery to be breathtaking. The staff at Aranwa was very helpful, and Joel setup a hike from Chinchero back to the hotel for us with guides. Any time we needed transportation, it was setup by the hotel and always on time. My husband and I loved our stay there and dream of going back. The free breakfast was awesome, too.

Being a frequent business traveler, it is somewhat hard to impress me with hotel rooms. But the rooms at Aranwa were very nice - high ceilings, spacious, and large bathroom area with rain showers and huge tub with jets. One of our group had altitude sickness the first night, and the hotel doctor was very helpful in treating her with first massage and homeopathic remedies and then oxygen and traditional medication. She recovered by the next day and we were able to take part in the activities arranged by the hotel, which included river rafting and day trips to ruins and shopping. The staff and guides were very friendly and knowledgeable with good command of English (we have minimal Spanish skills). If you're interested in shopping, go directly to Chinchero, as the quality of goods is significantly nicer than Pisac or Ollantaytambo. The town of Chincero is also very scenic, and you will see guinea pigs under the stove here, which we didn't see anywhere else but which is supposed to be characteristic in the area. The ruins at Ollantaytambo are pretty neat, though, so that would be a good reason to go there. Try to see the salt plains at Salineras and the Maray ruins are also interesting. Property grounds were spectacular, and we all loved this hotel - highly recommend it!

January 2012, we took a room in the Old Hacienda Block, it was extremely nice and comfortable, the service was very good and there were very few guests at the time. This July (2012) we went back, for we enjoyed it so much, and we brought some relatives with us. We enjoyed it even more for the company and we stayed longer in the hotel. We visited the surrounding town and we went fishing to the Urubamba (we didn't catch anything but it was fun). You may visit the Gallery and the Flower Nursery. But the food is so good in this place that you don't have to go anywhere else.

I'd go again this year if I got the holidays.

Room Tip: Look for the Old Hacienda Rooms, they were under renovation in this last visit but they were great i...

One of the nicest places we stayed in Peru. It reminded us somewhat of Canyon Ranch. this peaceful oasis in Sacred Valley was just perfect. Our son had altitude sickness in Cusco. Going to the Aranwa here helped tremendously. The extraordinary helpful hotel staff had oxygen ready and helped him. In a few hours he was fine and was off exploring this magnificent place. Our rooms were wows -- spacious with high ceilings, modern bathrooms, great showers and amenities. Comfortable, ver clean. Beds were big and comfy. The restaurants were wonderful. We had great food and lovely service. I had a wonderful 70-minute massage at the spa which was just perfect. The grounds were spectacular. Instead of touring the next day, my youngest and I stayed back and used the gym, wandered around the private courtyards, saw the birds , and just relaxed. Great breakfast buffet with omelets made to order. This is a really fabulous place! We all loved this place and would highly recommend it!

Room Tip: All rooms are good. Try to get one with a private courtyard. The property has lots of Peruvian art t...
