“Friendly hostesses, well run with great trout dinners”
Reviewed May 31, 2010

My wife and I stayed here on our way to Machu Picchu. Roxana, the manager, went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and answer any questions. We had grilled trout for dinner. It was tasty, very fresh and one of the best meals we had in Peru. The roasted corn kernel snacks were great. We were there for the Sunday Pisac market. We got fun souvenirs and excellent photographs. David Mayhuire Ramos took us on an wonderful tour of the Pisac Ruins. He is personable, speaks English well and knows the ruins like the back of his hand.

Staying at the Pisac Inn is like staying in a bed and breakfast at home, only that you can see a sacred Incan site from your front porch and there are tropical flowers blooming in every corner of the building. Run by an American-Peruvian family that has lived in Pisac for over 15 years, the inn is warm, welcoming, and beautifully kept. If you stay more than a few days, you may find that you've been adopted by a new family.

As for creature comforts: the Inn's beds are by far the most comfortable that I have found in Peru, outfitted with crisp white sheets, and each room is tastefully decorated by artist Fielding Wood. The owners recently renovated all of the rooms so that each has a private bath--the shower was strong and hot, which can be a true luxury in Peru! The cafe/restaurant downstairs has high-quality, fresh, European/American food, and is known throughout the town for its wood-fire pizza. I didn't have time to join one of Fielding and Roman's cultural tours, but I would have if I had had more time. One of the best places I have ever stayed, and that is saying a lot.

This was our favorite place to stay in Peru. A beautiful courtyard full of flowers. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The owners really make this place wonderful, though. They know what weary travelers need, and are friendly and welcoming. I wish we had spent more time here, it as restful and welcoming. Highly recommended.

We had a small but comfortable and bright room with a window opening onto a street leading into the plaza. Relatively few guests were there min December, so it was quiet. The computer IS slow, but ones at the nearby city center may be faster. The small interior patio has tables and chairs under a canopy of flowering vines. My husband loved the local trout at the restarant. A black kitten named Kitty and helpful staff were bonuses. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved the atmosphere of this place and the staff was very nice. My only complaint is that we did not have hot water in our private bath and we had to shower down the hall. I felt they should of tried to fix our shower or give us a discount since we where paying for a private bath.

Other than that the place was very relaxing.

None of the rooms I saw is as cozy as the photo on their website. Walls are plain white and not that charming adobe colour. I find it grossly overpriced for what you get. If you find Cuzco expensive, you pay more for less here. To make things worse it´s a major construction site right now with big renovation which is much needed but dusty and noisy. No Wifi but you can use a dead slow computer downstairs. Its only draw is the location right on the square but there are other good looking options one block closer to the bridge, and diagonally opposite the square newly opening end of january. The restaurant downstairs however serves decent food at fair prices. The sunday market in Pisac also doesn´t live up to its fame, it´s a normal market, everyone I saw pays cash and most of the people in traditional costume were photo-posers. The ruins above Pisac are spectacular though!
