Simple as every place in Ollantaytambo, but extremely clean, delicate decoration with flowers and beautifull rooms. The staff, with Ilda and Lillian is amazing(!!!). They prepared us an welcome drink and breakfast at 4AM before we climb Macchu Picchu. They make you fell like home.

Would definitelly recommend staying in Ollantaytambo (amazing small city sorrounded by rocks and ruins) and at Picaflor Tambo B&B!

Only negative point is that the rooms are all very close to each other and the common area is centralized, so if you need to sleep early (to get the first train to macchu picchu @ 5) is a little noisy, but not a big deal at all.

Thank you for your comments and coming to stay. We always are flexible for our guests early morning train departures to Macchu Picchu by providing an equally early breakfast for your start, with your advance notice for preparation. In return, we just ask that early rising guests are quiet to let others sleep in the morning.

Many thanks for your kind words and we look forward to seeing you again soon,

We were very pleased with our stay at Picaflor Tambo. When we arrived, there had been a mixup in the booking, but our host quickly found a solution to the problem and we were provided with a clean, spacious room. We stayed 3 nights before going to Machupicchu. Breakfasts were excellent and so was the location, just a few minutes walk to the Incan ruins and steps away from many restaurants and shops.
We also toured several sites in the area and were given excellent directions and assistance from the staff! We highly recommend Picaflor Tambo!!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms open on a skylit courtyard and are steps from a quiet reading area available for all guests.

Very friendly host, warm and welcoming. The hotel is situated close to the main square in Ollantaytambo and a very pleasant hiking trail leading to Incan ruins. The room was comfortable, clean and had a great view. Certainly worth the moderate price, especially considering Ollantaytambo's beauty and convienent location in the Sacred Valley. Recommended.

Thank you so much for staying with us and recommending us for our modest price. We like to welcome as many guests as possible with an affordable alternative to the more expensive hotels that lack a more personalized service.

We hope to see you back one day soon.

We stayed for 2 nights at this place. The place has a theme revolving around flowers and humming bird hand drawn by the owner´s daughter. The distince style and the immaculate decorations that the owner put into the place sets its apart from others. On the second night, we were invited to join in a night of sour pisos by a fireplace. Its definitely a lovely place away from home.

Room Tip: Go on the second floor near the balcony, its prettier and quieter

We stayed 3 days at Picaflor Tambo, the room, bed, and bathroom
were all really great. Lots of hot water, great shower.
Staff and owner are all very helpful, and welcoming wich made us to come back and stay 2 more nights after Machupicchu.
This is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the Sacred Valley. Great local-produce breakfast.

I highly recommend it.

Thank you for coming too stay and appreciating our hospitality. We are pleased that you recommend us as being equally good to explore both Macchu Picchu AND the Sacred Valley...we also are convenient as a jumping point of to further adventures to the White Rock and Vilcabamba for the really serious Inca buffs.
