Best place for a good coffee in my opinion. The owner Rider is enthousiastic, everyone is handshaked or hugged, but it´s in a friendly way. Some people might find this a bit too much. Food is excellent and good portions too and not expensive at all.

After so many lame cafe con leches on the road in Peru, it was wonderful to be served a real cafe latte. We returned the next day for more and a great breakfast -- spanish omelete and toast. Complete with very friendly staff and outdoor seating in the sun, can't be beat.

I have tried a lot of coffee in Ollantaytambo and the Cusco area, and I have to say that Coffee Tree is the best. The owners, Ridert and Alex are welcoming and always willing to help out with questions about Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu, plus Ridert makes one incredible cappuccino. I highly recommend the sandwiches, banoffi pie (banana pie), and the fruit pancakes (like giant crepe rolled up with fruit inside!). If you're not a coffee lover, check out the amazing ginger tea with lime and honey- Yummm!

The first thing we usually ask for when we arrive in a new area is where to get good food and coffee. The locals immediately recommended Coffee Tree and we were not disappointed. The best coffee in town and food is delicious and fantastic value especially the set meal - drink, quinoa soup, a mains and massive brownie for less than US$7! Wow! And I thought I was just paying for the soup. We spent 4 days in Ollanta and had most of our meals here. Ridertz is so welcoming and such a great host you almost won't want to leave. They make you feel right at home and make every effort to ensure you're a happy customer. It's right on plaza de armas so you can't miss it.
