As a tour guide I always take people to Ollantaytambo. Los Andenes is the best cheap hostel in the village. Big rooms, hot water, very clean. Even if you arrive at night, the owner is waiting you with a big smile. Great, the best in the Sacred Valley!

The family at this hotel bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful, especially Christian and Miguel. They arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and return us and there were not problems They also, stored our extra luggage for free while we took the train to Machu Pichu, fed us wonderful food and drinks, and helped us buy our MP tickets online (we were lucky that they knew that the regulations had recently changed and that it was required to do this online!) The room was clean, large and well decorated, with plenty of hot water and a nice quiet nights sleep in a courtyard setting back off the street. There were computers available, food and drinks as needed and helpfulness in every way possible. They even let us stay in the room till our afternoon taxi came. Something my girlfriend appreciated very much since she was not feeling well. This was a 20 day trip for us and we had many good experiences with the rooms we booked, but none was better than this. The place does not look fancy from the outside, but the flowery couryards and big rooms are sweet.

The folks at this hotel bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful, from arranging a taxi to pick us up at the airport, storing our extra luggage while we took the train to Machu Picchu, feeding us wonderful food and drinks, and helping us buy our MP tickets online (we were lucky that they knew that the regulations had recently changed and that it was required to do this online!) The room was very comfortable, with updated bathroom and clean facilities. The gardens were gorgeous. When I got sick, they allowed us to stay past the normal check out time until it was time for us to take a taxi to the airport, which they arranged. They have a bunch of computers in the lobby that are for patrons' use for a very reasonable fee and an attached restaurant. They were happy to chat with us, in English and Spanish, and we felt very welcome there. It's just a 5 minute walk to the train station and the main square is even closer. The price was really very inexpensive, and the taxi cost was very reasonable. We were very happy with our choice of this hotel!

Room Tip: They have a variety of rooms and are happy to have you pick one you like. We faced the courtyard/gar...

I can highly recommend this place where I stayed with my girl-friend for 3 days. Of course, it always depends on what you are looking for but for me this place was ideal in regards to having a family atmoshpere while travelling and being greeted by genuine warm hospitality. Wifi-service is available on top - the food was good- the temperature in the rooms a little chilly. Yet the hosts tried to be as accomodating as possible when we needed something.

We are Marion and Nicolas from Bordeaux, France and we spend 2 nights here after our Inca jungle trail... At first , they offered us to take care of our big back packs during our trek , wich was really nice, and free by the way.... Then after the trek , we were really pleased by the room that we had .... Large and very comfortable bed , warm water all day long, the room was as clean as in europe ( wich is not always the case in Peru for sure) and the service was just the top that we could expect... A really nice hostel , i think it was the best in quality/ price ( 60 soles the night for two personnes)that we had during the trip, with a beautiful patio and a colored garden , such a lovely place for sure... At first, we wanted to stay only one night, but we stayed two at the end !!

To finish , I would like to say that we were supposed to fly to lima from cusco on peruvian airlines, but due to the suspension of the company , we had to find another way to come back to lima ... Miguel from the hostel helped us so much during one day long, finding all the solutions that we needed , including the transfert of money to book another flyght ticket !!!! As i sayed , nice , smiling and helping people here!!

To finish , I really recommand the place here, for all the reasons that i explained before..If you want to stay in "Ollanta" for a cheap price, here is the place that you need.

Stayed here for one night. Convenient location. A 5-10 minute walk from the train station. Very close to the Olly fortress and Plaza de Armas.
Good sized rooms and staff was very helpful. They also have an internet cafe at the entrance of the hostal, if needed.

Felix and Maria are extremely hospitable. Their family works closely with Awamaki (www.awamaki-us.org), a non-profit organization operating in Ollantaytambo, and during my month in the town they made me feel at home, even inviting me to bday parties. They're right along the main street in Ollanta; the famous Inca fortress is less than 100 meters from their front door, as are all of the amenities and attractions of Ollanta.
