“Best Alpaca anywhere!”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

My wife and I stayed at the El Albergue hotel for several nights and enjoyed eating breakfast here at this restaurant and we also had a few dinners here. Everything we ordered was wonderful and was extremely fresh. They grow all of their foods at their farm. Eating at this restaurant is a must if in Ollantaytambo.

“Ok, but very slow”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Based on the reviews, I was looking forward to a lunch here before we took our train to Aguas Caliente. Unfortunately, they were very slow - they told us that we could only order sandwiches and even with that they almost didn't allow us time to eat before we had to be at the train station next door. We were told to be at the station at least 30 minutes before the train was to depart. The waiter at this restaurant kept trying to tell us that we could get to the station much closer to departure time, that it would be fine. While that may have been true, we weren't willing to take the chance.
I don't know if they were short-staffed or just normally really really slow. The sandwiches were OK, but not anything exceptional. I was anticipating better.

We ate every single meal while in Ollantaytambo here and loved every bite. The pasta, the wine, it was all amazing.

“Not to be missed!”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Many thanks to TripAdvisor contributors for recommending this fabulous restaurant. We spent a day and a night in Olley but would never have thought to find the best restaurant in town inside the train station. My oh my...what a meal we had....grilled alpaca, trout, causas, breads, cheese cake (there were 4 of us - smile) - all mouth watering. Beautiful atmosphere lit by candlelight, live harp music, attentive service....do not miss eating here!

“Fresh, Organic, Romantic”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

We ate here for four dinners, four breakfasts and two lunches while staying at the B&B. We are foodies and fell in love with the fresh, organic produce from the farm. Anything featuring these fruits and veggies blew us away. We especially enjoyed the vegetarian pasta and vegetarian lasagna. The daily pies were oh-so-good. Although the Alpaca steak was good, we enjoyed the beef tenderloin more. Overall, I would have expected to pay twice as much for the quality of the food, ambiance and service!
